Exciting Weekend for Delta Pi
 

Wow! This weekend has been crazy with Beta activities!

I just wanted to let my GC pals know that my chapter hosted a tea for the local Beta chapters yesterday. I was so nervous, but it went very well. Twenty-eight sisters attended. Some of the older sisters presented the Ritual of Jewels to our Founding sisters (including myself). The ritual was so lovely, and I adore my new sorority badge. I think I will get a torch guard for this one!

Also, CareBearBSP (my little) presented our chapter awards (thanks, Carey!), and I was awarded Woman of the Year:) I was so pleased to have been chosen, and I was proud to show off my girls to the members of the Springfield City Council. Even though Springfield is about 30-45 minutes away, I think we will probably do something with them again. They seemed to enjoy hanging out with the "babies" of Beta Sigma Phi.

slightly off-topic

You may want to attend the Springfield City Council (CC) meetings when your schedule allows it. I've found that you learn more info sometimes before your chapter does in correspondence (usually the Prez, VP or another delegate from the chapter goes to the meetings).

I went to the last 2 CC meetings and will be going to my 3rd meeting Monday May 19th. At CC meeting the sisters from other chapters share the exerience they had entertaining sister chapter or being entertained by sister chapter (your chapter would choose a chapter and your chapter would be chosen by another from the CC. (plus you will get more party/rush ideas as well):) :D
