Why is it so bad?
Why is it such a no-no to let members of AKA kow you want to jin? And will letting them know hinder your chances of being admitted?
|
It is not "no-no" to let my sorors know you are interested in AKA. We have all encouraged prospective candidates to attend AKA related events/activities and get to know our sorors on your campus. What we dislike is when some young ladies "brown-nose" and that is a "no-no". Sorors on my campus knew I was interested, and it did not hinder me from getting in. I'm not saying let everyone know your intentions, however, it is ok to show interest.

I totally agree with what my sorors have said here, but I must add ..... if you don't show interest how will my sorors know you are interested (i.e. when they think of Membership intake you will not be a part of their vision as a prospect!)

It is wise to let AKA women on your campus know that you are interested in their orgainization. Just do so in a respectful manner.
