Oregon Trail
Does anyone remember this game?? My friend and I found it through google last night after we talked about it and spent soooo long playing it.
If you were never a fan what was your favorite game when you were little? |
That game is awesome! That used to be our reward in computer class, we'd get to play it for like 20 minutes!
My boyfriend recently found new editions of Oregon Trail and Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? The Carmen Sandiego is awesome, because you can take tours of all these countries and learn about the religion, environment, politics, history.. I love it! |
OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!! I remember when I was in elementary school, and the teacher said we were going to go to the computer lab and we could do Oregon Trail, it was like saying we'd each get a million dollars!!! I LOVE that game, that and Munchers, they had different kinds for math and english. WHERE did you find them, esp. Carmen Sandiago, my mother was trying to get that for my cousin and we haven't been able to find it!

OMG, I played Oregon Trail a few months ago, for the first time. I got a copy of it for free in a box of cereal. It's the dope shit!!
|
I found the games by just typing in "oregon trail download game" or something to that effect on google. To play the game you have to download an emulator, an apple one, and you can get that from the site also I believe
|
We found the new games at a Half Price Books store. They were like $5 each.
|
Oh my gosh!! I loved that game when I was young!
|
I can't seem to find it. Do you remember the particular website you got it from? Every site I try is gone, or I can't find what I'm looking for :( I would really like to have this game...I was terrible at it and I'd like to take another crack at it.

It's called Abandonware Games. You can get a lot of old games there. You register and then you click download, and it will probably say that all the ways to upload are full, but if you go back, then click download, and then do it for a minute or two you'll finally be able to download. If you need anymore help send me a PM and I can send it to ya |

Oh, my goodness, I totally loved Oregon Trail and Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego. (Anyone remember the game show based on that one? I loved it, too!) I blew more time playing those games...
Oh, and I totally rock Super Mario Bros. on my NES emulator. I have discovered I am quite out of practice, however. |
Oh my god I forgot about Munchers!!! I think my mom still has it on her old school Mac.
I think I might have to play me a round or two next time I go home. And I also rock out at Mario Bros. there's this laundromat that has the actual arcade version of SMB, with a joystick and eveything. It's so damn cool |
I loved Oregon Trail and Munchers!!!!
I totally agree with the person who said it was like winning a million dollars when the teachers in elementary said we could play Oregon Trail & Munchers!!!! :D My mom still has Super Munchers on her old school Mac, but they don't use it anymore since they got a new PC. Where can I find Munchers? I totally ROCKED at the game! |
Ahh...Oregon Trail...such simplicity...yet so much fun!! A few weeks ago I asked my 6th graders if they knew what that game was, they asked me if it was like "Vice City" *groans* What they hell has happened???
I still have my "Where in TIME is Carmen Sandiego" for the old Nintendo. Ya know, I probably learned more from that game than my own history class back in grade school. |
that game is the shintz digz. i used to play it after being rewarded as a little kid. how bout when you go hunting and you have to shoot at the moose with that really bad looking graphics.
