I don't think so. I have several history books and have never seen this pictured in any of them.

astroAPhi 05-04-2003 11:10 PM

Well tyoregon sure seems to think it's ours, since he paid freakin $230 for it. Good God.

The back of the pin reads 3-15-59 Gretchen Becker, (and what appears to be the Omega mark).

cutiepatootie 05-10-2003 05:56 PM

jokes on him

he paid $230 for a pin that proberly wasn't ours, though the colors in the beginning were blue and gold and it does show alpha phi letters...... if it isn't A Phi , i hope he knows he just bought just another pin and didnt steal another pin away from a sister!:)

This badge was listed as an Alpha Epsilon Omicron badge, so it might get overlooked!

It was listed as "Old 14k Gold ALPH EPSILON OMIKON Sorority Pin". Being that it was listed as an incorrect sorority, as well as the spelling of Alpha Epsilon Omicron being completely incorrect, this just irks me. Blah!!

Thanks for the heads up.

LOL... this cracks me up...

Pin is a Large A with Greek Letters in outer Circle. Which Translates to ALPHA-EPSILON-OMIKRON
hahaha. I'm sorry, I shouldn't be laughing probably, but that's just great.

I was laughing too. Obviously doesn't know what he/she is selling.

Here's another gem:

Alpha Phi Epsilon

I don't get it... how are these people getting these extra letters?

Beta Epsilon, Marjorie Grindle, 10/24/43
*Tyoregon is the highest bidder!! :(

IheartAphi 05-26-2003 12:29 AM

I thought the badges "technically" belonged to internationals when the person dies and doesnt leave it to another Alpha Phi, making it illegal to sell the badges on ebay...

I am sure these people got the badges from estate sales, but its sad that hte women didn't bequeath their badges to someone that would ensure it wouldnt be hawked to the highest bidder.
