Also loved the Magnum. Mantis, not a fan of, long line, gave me a headache, and the braking going down the hill before the loop really sucks. Raptor was pretty good. Can't wait to ride the new one! We're going to CP again right after finals- on a Thurs, May 15, so there shouldn't be much in the way of lines. |

My vote goes to the Titan @ Six Flags Over Texas. Got to ride it in March & it was fun (my seven year old sun told me to shut up halfway through...guess hearing his mom was a little disturbing). |
The Beast at King's Island....love that ride....I love most of the rollercoasters there but that one is my fav!
|
I really, really, really wanna go to Cedar Point.
I'd have to say my favorites are probably Alpengeist at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Georgia Cyclone and Superman at Six Flags over Georgia, Hulk at Islands of Adventure, and Rock-n-Roller Coaster at Disney. (Superman at SFoG is one you ride on your stomach. I fell in love at first ride.) |
Kings Island: The Beast (hell yeah) and the Son of Beast :)
Disney World: Too lame :p I'll go for the teacups for excitement hehe |
At worlds of fun in KC...
The old Zambezi Zinger...man that was a great ride! No seatbelts, three people to a car sitting in each others laps....the best first climb ever as it was a 100 ft high spiral up, talk about building the suspense. The Orient Express also rocks, 4 inversions, and one of the first roller coasters to be of the steel tube variety. WOF often doesn't get the credit it deserves for having great coasters, probably because it doesn't have that many, but in 1991 it did have the Wooden Coaster of the Year with the Timberwolf. |
Of the coasters I've ridden:
1. Incredible Hulk - Universal - what a way to START a coaster! 2. Montu - Busch Tampa - Incredible G's! 3. Kumba - Busch Tampa - my first coaster EVER 4. Kraaken - Sea World Orlando 5. Fire and Ice - Universal - you have to ride both - Ice is full of turns and twists - Fire, nothing but SPEED. 6. Wild Thing - Minneapolis - Highest coaster I've been on, and one of the fastest, too. |

I love WALT DISNEY WORLD!!!
I love the Rock-N-Roller coaster, Tower of Terror, and Space Mountain....what I DON'T love is the 2 hours waiting for the rides... |
I cannot believe you guys have been to Cedar Point!!!!!
I love it SOOOOOOOOO much. Wanna organize a trip there this summer. I loved Mantis and Raptor when I went, which was like 4 years ago...I don't know about you guys but I always thought the lines moved pretty quickly........ I'm going to Worlds of Fun in KC this Saturday...never been there....any rides that I have to do/stay away from???? And, finally, I HATE six flags in Gurnee, IL....this ride called the Demon (!) always breaks and got stuck upside down one time...it took them like 3 hours to free everyone!! It is seriously crappy. |

This, of course, coming from the girl who lives in Orlando and runs her annual pass ragged. :D |
awww, Danielle, come on.
How can a Pittsburgher have any answer to this question other than the Jackrabbit and/or Thunderbolt? :D For the uninitiated, these are wooden coasters, originally built in the 20's, and the older they get, the crankier they get and the more they spank you hard. http://www.kennywood.com/cr.cfm |
