Summer Ideas?

Now that school is ending, there's good news and bad news. The bad news is, about half of my sisters are leaving for the summer. The good news is, that leaves the other half that are staying! During the summer we don't have scheduled chapter meetings or unities or anything, but I would still like to have some fun activities with the girls that will be here. And everyone knows that summer is the best time of year anyway! Does anyone have any really fun summer stories of things they've done with their sisters?

Summer is a great time to meet up and bond laying out by the pool, taking fun road trips to visit other sisters, do community service or visit some nearby attraction and have a blast. You can also do fun projects for the chapter like prepare care packages for sisters overseas, or making cool prizes to give out for "sister of the week" awards.

It's also a great time to meet up and have a few rush prep meetings. Any conversation training you do over the summer will pay off tenfold in the fall.

Summer is the best! At my collegiate campus, it was actually the Delta Sigs who held a summer weekend getaway but everyone came (small greek campus!). Everyone would come into town for a weekend get-together in the middle of July and it was a blast because by then everyone had missed each other enough and were getting tired of their summer routine. We'd spend the weekend BBQ-ing, relaxing, doing stuff on the river, etc!

Summer on campus? FUN!
Try:
-4th of July bash
-theme BBQ parties (be creative Lu'au's been done so try Christmas in July, or debutante ball, or trailer bash)
-make a slip in slide
-2 words-Water Fights!

have fun, let us know how it goes.
