College Of Chapters
 

Anyone planning on attending College of Chapters this Summer?

I'm going to call and see if they need alumni volunteers. I'd love to go. I went 2 years ago. I think one of my brothers got a t-shirt from your chapter:D

It kicked ass. Was every bit as good as Grand Chapter (totally different experience though). You'll love it. Imagine around 400 of us standing around in a big circle around the parade grounds on VMI saying the creed together. Pretty moving stuff.

I'll be attending COC...anyone been before to know what its like??? Also any of you guys attending a UIFI session this summer and if so which one???

I went to the last one. It was great..

Some pointers:


They made us promise not to consume alcohol for the week..

There are bars around town. One called "The Palm" is pretty nice. Couldn't tell ya how I know about that though:D

Bring a fan, the W&L dorms are not air conditioned (or they don't turn it on for us).

If you can get them to put you up at the Educational Foundation, do it! Some guys got to stay up there or at local hotels.

If you're flying, make sure you have a way to be driven around town -- should be plenty of people with room in their cars.

It's a hell of a time. Enjoy yourself and actually go to the classes they offer (even the optional ones) they were helpful.

I'm going with our PResident from the Duquesne Pittsburgh Kappa Delta Chapter, Its sound like it will be fun

Did anyone go? How was it.

My undergrad chapter's EC, LC and Treasurer went. Haven't been able to talk to them about it. I don't see how they couldn't have enjoyed it though. For me, it was an awesome experience.

I(LC) went with our treasurer...it was a great experience. Most everyone stayed out of trouble and had a great time. I can't wait for Grand Chapter in St. Louis next July.

For Grand Chapter we should all get together. I'll be there.. Just as an alum wanting to have a good time. St. Louis is going to be great. Any of ya'll met the Grand Reagent? David's a great guy. St. Louis was a hell of a choice!

The new regent is pretty cool I had him in a Rush workshop at the last G.C. Howard was really cool though one night myself and a couple of other guys were in the bar and grill at the fairmont and ran into him he had a quick drink with us.

Did they make ya'll take that no alcohol pledge this year?

It didn't work very well last time.

oh yea they gave the "alochol speech" the very first seminar we were in. A few hours later you would see pack of like 30 guys in some cases heading downtown to go to the palms. Needless to say, Sigma Nu owned the bar for a few days.

Grand Chapter is an entirely different experience. Ya'll should definitely show up in St. Louis.
