Songfest Themes
 

Hi Girls :)

I'm a Chi O at the Univ of South Alabama and I was just wondering if any of you had any fun themes for Songfest that everyone can have fun with. I was thinking about a Disco Fever theme.. has anyone tried that theme? if so, did it work well?

I'm assuming Songfest is like a lyp sync contest? I think Disco would be great! Also, we did a TV theme song medley once, which was pretty cool and original - lots of fun costumes, too. Also,a medley of one particular artist is good too, Janet Jackson, Madonna, Prince etc. Good luck!

Okay... I am going with the assumption that songfest is the same as it is where I went to college.

Anyway... body parts is super-cute. You can do "Body Movin" by the Beastie Boys, "Rock your Body," by whatever boyband that is, "Baby Got Back," and any other song about body parts (not dirty ones though). I haven't seen anyone do this theme for a long time, so I can't remember all the different song options.

Other cute ones I have seen include "Candy" (you can do "Goodship Lollipop," "Let me see that Tootsie Roll," "I want Candy," etc...) and "Kiss" (do songs by the band Kiss, "Suck my Kiss" by Red Hot Chili Peppers, "Kiss" by Prince, " that "It's in the way you kiss me" country song, "Kiss Me" under the pale moon sky by Six Pence None the Richer, etc...).

Other easy ones are colors and fire/heat. Also, you can do around the world, a beach theme, or states of the USA, but those seem really old to me.
