Zeta Phi
 

The Zeta Phi Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega was rechartered yesterday at Howard University. Two Lines were initiated, but I won't post their names because I'm unsure of the acronyms/spellings.

The two lines initiated on April 26, 2003 were the 24 Survivors of the APOcalypse and the 13 T.E. A.R.S. of Ghost.

Congrats to my initial lb's!!!

Could someone please explain what lines are and why they have names. Most of the APO Chapters I work with do family trees and the like.

Lines are pledge classes that are ordered by height.

Line names are nicknames for the lines. (They do not replace the pledgeclass namesake.)

Congrats to Zeta Phi chapter! I'm sure HU is very happy to have ya'll.

I'd love to see GSS re-established there (Alpha Eta chapter). But I live to far away to do something :D

Congratulations to the Brothers of Zeta Phi! This may be a silly question, but why did they cross TWO lines?

ok now correct me if i'm wrong but...when u recharter a chapter part of it is taking in the first line (line A) and you must successfully bring in another another line to show that you know how to pledge the next line and to show that the chapter will not die back out cuz you can successfully bring in another line. so line b was brought in by line a. kind of showin that u can keep the chapter alive or somethin to that sort...i'm sure dardenr will be on soon to correct me lol :p

Line A was the first group to become Petitioners, recruited and educated by Brothers from other chapters.

Line B was recruited and educated by Line A, which was a requirement to become chartered.

They were initiated on the same day, at different times. Line A was initiated by the Big Brother Chapter; Line B was initiated by Line A soon after that.
