Ay Yo! Can I Borrow That?

What is the craziest stuff someone has ever asked to borrow from you?

This is the only example I can come up with:

LOL. . . freshman year my CAUCASIAN roommate asked to borrow some lotion. I said sure go ahead. . . I had 10 bottles of Jergens plus it was the end of the year.

She looked on the dresser and said, "NO I MEAN SUNTAN LOTION."  http://www.clicksmilie.de/sammlung/l...smiley-016.gifhttp://www.clicksmilie.de/sammlung/l...smiley-016.gif

I looked up from the bed and said, "Rachael I was born with my tan." http://www.clicksmilie.de/sammlung/l...smiley-016.gifhttp://www.clicksmilie.de/sammlung/l...smiley-016.gif

An eyelash curler. I was like, what? I don't use that type of mess. My eyelashes are naturally curled!

The craziest thing anyone tried to "borrow" from me...a little background first.

When one of my closest friends graduated she moved to Boston with her pseudo man. Dude is thugged out (not a bad guy, but ya know), and I trust him bout as far as I can throw him. So anyway, he comes back down here to visit some of his fam and calls me up.

"Ay yo, Librasoul...I need you to go rent a car for me cuz I ain't got no credit card."

Now, what possessed him to think that I would put a rented car under MY name, making ME responsible?? Um, try NO.

ALSO when people ask to borrow my car. I NEVER let anyone drive my car. EVER. Do NOT ask.

This is not really crazy, but My husband and I had a decorative broom made for our wedding (we jumped the broom). It now hangs in our breakfast nook. A "friend" asked to borrow it for her wedding. Now, I would have let her borrow it if her wedding was in town, but she was going to the Caymans! I told her no, I did not feel comfortable with it going out of the country and she had the nerve to get all mad!! I even gave her the information of the person who made mine, but she did not want to go that route. I told her sorry, but people aways reserve the right to say "no" when you ask for something.

I won't say borrowing, but this is along the lines of it.

Many people have asked me for very petty stuff (pencils, maxi pads, 5 of my french fries , rubberbands/scrunchies, etc.) and promised me they'll pay me (10 cents) back for it. It's not worth it, just take it, keep your nickel/dime/quater, lol.

At least you friends borrow inanimate objects

A male friend of mine asked to borrow my puppy so he could pick up girls in the park. Geesh...

In high school, after gym class, some girl that I didn't know asked if she could borrow my deodorant. Did she really think that I was going to let her rub my Secret all over her hairy, sweaty underarms and then give it back to me? How bout, No!

My college roommate asked to use my hairgrease, shower gel, my pin number to my telephone, an iron, a skillet.

One of my co-workers approached me on day 3 of my new gig last year and asked me for a tampon.

My friend asked for my suit case, and she kept it for so long I just let her have it. Then she borrowed my TD Jakes CD the Storm is Over, and I had to ask for that back after 3 months.

No one has been brave enough outside my mother and brother to ask me for money............THANK GOD!

I remember on my senior class trip (h.s.) that my male friend's roommate asked if he could borrow his toothbrush!!! And to top it off, his teeth looked like they had NEVER met one! :o

How about when folks ask to borrow your lipgloss? I don't know where your mouth has been and I don't want to get your stinkin' germs!!:p

I just had to share this...

My former neighbor's were the King and Queen of borrowing. This is just a sample of some of the stuff they borrowed:

Peppermint
Lemons
Pepper
Toliet Paper
the daily Newspaper
toothpicks
Ketchup

Luckily, I moved!!!!!!!

Talkin' bout irony:
I saved and bought a pair of $325 gucci shoes. I hadn't worn them yet and my eldest sister wanted to borrow them. She is sweet as molassas and I love her to death but I was not trying to let her in my shoes.

End of story right?
Sure enough, time passed and I eventually let her wear my shoes to her daughter's christening. Her plump butterball foot stretched out my shoes.

Moral of the story:
Don't buy $300 shoes you say? Wrong. The moral of the story is don't lend it if they can't or probably won't be able to replace/repair it.

The Dilemna:
They don't have a snug fit anymore. I'm pissed. I know my sister is going to end up with my fabulous footwear.
