While surfing the web, I came across this site. DST Central :: Your online Delta Connection

Is anyone here registered on that site? This is the first time that I've ever heard of it and I just wanted to know what it is about.

DSTCentral.com is just a personal web site I made based on all the Delta info I have been collecting over a couple of years, info that sorors have asked me to look for on the Internet, as well as some chants and poems that I wanted to share. I made the site to share info instead of having to e-mail back and forth multiple times between sorors.

The original idea was to create a site for reference and to help sorors look for info, I used this style based on the features that sorors wanted to see from DSTChants.

Although some sorors like some features in the site, the main purpose is just for sorors to look up info and for reference, so I will be removing some features from the site and rearranging it in the future. Also, because the number of registrations per day has quadrupled due to the exposure on popular search engines, I am thinking of a new way to handle users at the moment.

If you have any questions, feel free to pm me or e-mail me. I am open to any suggestions as well.

I am registered on that site. It was created and is maintained by a Soror. As it partially states: 'The purpose of this site is to create a "central" location for Deltas to find and share information.'

Kudos on the site. This is my first visit and enjoyed reading the Sisterhood story. I like the format/style of the site as well.

About DSTCentral.com
The purpose of this site is to create a "central" location for DELTAS to find and share information without having to use a third-party service. Our goal is to provide a site that promotes SISTERHOOD by creating a means for Deltas to communicate and help one another.

Here are some of the site's features:

* News Articles = News listing of Site Announcements and "Delta In the News" on the front page, updated as soon as news is received.

- ANYONE can access the News Articles and search for keywords.

* Event Calendar = Two calendars; one for the public and a private one for forum members. Private calendar shows birthday listings.

* Forum = Contains categories and threads about different topics. Includes download area for chants, poems, and Delta graphics; Las Vegas Convention; general discussions. The forum has some cool categories and "ism clubs" (or "number clubs") too ;)

* Arcade = *NEW* There's an arcade in the forum now! lol. We have the following games:

-Asteroids
-Breakout
-Chopper Challenge
-Pacman
-Simon
-Snake
-Space Invaders
-Tetris

You can log in to play and the person with the highest score of each game wins a Champion's trophy and the "title" gets added under your screenname wherever you post (shows everyone you're the such and such Champion :D ...until someone else beats your score!)

You can also challenge another player to a game. Scores and ranking page is available for all members to view.

* Downloads = Downloads are in the forums area (members only). Includes, Delta chants, poems, Delta and Greek graphics, etc.

* Web Links = These are just a collection of links I have been saving over a few years and wanted to share with everyone. Includes chapter web site listing categorized by state - undergrad, alumnae, and international; community service organization links; other general links.

- ANYONE can register on the Web Links home page. Registering allows you to add links, categories, sign up for the mailing list, rate and review links, and creates your own "favorites" page.

* Store = where forum members can earn points and "buy" forum actions, like making your username glow, donating points to another member, and more, etc.

The site is fairly new since I started from scratch, so I am still adding all the information little by little. I am working as quickly as possible so that the chants, poems, and graphics, can all be available to members.

I recently registered to the site, but I am having problems with the password. The system keeps telling me my password is incorrect, then it tells me my user name doesn't match the password. When I'm sent an email with my user name and password, it's the one that I put in.......So I said all this to say that I haven't been able to get on the site and see it.....maybe one day.

When you register, your registration goes to a "pending member" list and an e-mail confirmation is sent to your address. You must activate the account by following the instructions on the verification email. Then a member of the forum must vouch for you before your registration goes into the "registered member" list where your account is then approved.

Registrations that haven't been approved yet or registrations that have not verified their email addresses, will not be able to access the site.
