Greek Awards for IIA
 

Today was our greek awards and Pi Alpha recieved some great awards! We got:
*Most improved scholarship (GPA)
*Highest Active Member GPA (3.2)
*Award for be above the all womens GPA average
*Most Community service hours per member (73 hrs a member!)
*Outstanding Service Award
*The Top Greek Freshman Award (Loran Bernert) This award was part of the 'Top Ten' greeks, and only one freshman wins it, and it was our girl Loran!

Needless to say I am VERY proud of our girls and our chapter!
I just wanted to share the good news!

CONGRATULATIONS Pi Alpha!!!

I've got to ask, what types of things did IIA do to achieve such service numbers? Does that number include time spent on Guys and Dolls?

Well our service hours are a weird situation because we had tons of group hours this semester from the PR Blitz and several small projects and Guys and Dolls. But as for our individual hours, alot of our girls actually didn't even turn in thier hours.. But one of our new initiates from the fall is community service crazy and had over 550 hours from this semester alone, and I had 348 hours , and so did a couple other people. So really each person didn't do 73 hours, more like a few people did alot of service!

congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That makes us AOPis proud to see that our sisters are being recognized at other campuses!

I didn't even think of the activities during the PR Blitz counting, but that's great. A lot of those were very campus and community oriented, it makes sense to count them!

I just think it's wonderful for all of you. I am so very proud of you all, you definitely make AOII so very proud to claim you.
