Nick Perry passed away today, so be sure to bet on 666 tomorrow. Or at least go bowling.

I didn't hear! Do you think he was the "Anti- Fred Rogers"?

Did you know that, the year he was convicted, his phone number was on page 666 of the Pittsburgh phone book?

Who is Nick Perry?!?!?:confused:

Nick Perry used to host the PA lottery show - until he fixed the numbers one night. He had a few people help him out, and they played several combinations of 4 & 6 - the numbers he fixed. Number 666 hit that night.

He was caught, served time, and there was cheesy movie made about it, with Lisa Kudrow. I forget its name.

Nick Perry also used to host a show on Channel 4 when I was little called "Bowling for Dollars". Haha, it's funny the things people remember. So when I read about his death my first thought was how when it thundered my Grandma used to say they were "bowling in Heaven" :)

The movie is called "Lucky Numbers." They filmed a good chunk of the movie in Harrisburg and suburbs.

Click on the "666" in my post for the full story (for the uninitiated). Lucky Numbers sucked cause it had NOTHING to do with what actually happened. They should have done something more true to life, w/ Jack Nicholson as Nick Perry. (KR & honeychile, if you can think of someone else who would be a better casting choice, post it here. :D)

Sheila, Jack Nicholson would be a good choice. It's all about the eyebrows! And maybe Christian Slater as a young Nick??? lol

You know, if it wasn't for you I'd NEVER get the scoop about what's going on at home. The new Lily store in Shadyside, Mr. Rogers passing, Nick Perry.....my family tells me nothing!
