Paddle 4 my big sis

So, now's crunch time, the week before initiation and I have to make a paddle for my big sis. At least at our chapter, the lil sis always writes a message or saying on the back of the paddle...I'm wondering, are there any really good sororoity/sisterhood/Chi Omega sayings anyone knows of that would be good for the back of my paddle?

paddle

HeyI don't know if you already did your paddle. But I would use some songs used during Rush week. Like current songs that uses Chi O. Email me if you don't know what I am talking about.

You could always quote part of the Chi Omega Symphony.

One of my favorite songs might work:

"Mmm my sisters, Mmm my sisters couldn't get along without you now. Got along without you before I met you but I sure couldn't do it now.
Came to college just to find, a group of girls that were my kind. Now I know I've found the best because Chi Omega is above the rest."

Or my favorite (which I think I put in your thread after you received your bid!):

Chi Omega friendship is worth more than gold
It cannot be bought, and cannot be sold
I can't find it by trying, or from a book on a shelf
I guess I'll just have to be a Chi Omega myself

Guess what, uwgirl, you get initiated in a few days! Woo hoo!:D

I really liked that Chi Omega poem ("Chi Omega friendship is worth more than gold..."). Unfortunately, the poem I did use took up the whole paddle almost and barely left me room to leave a personalized message. Here's what I did use:

"A siter is one of the nicest things that can happen to anyone. She is someone to laugh with and share with, to work with and join in the fun. She is someone who helps in the rough times and knows when you need a warm smile. She is someone who will quietly listen when you just want to talk for a while. A sister is dear to you always, for she is someone who is always a part of all the favorite memories that you keep very close to your heart."

I really liked that poem to describe sisterhood. Tomorrow is formal and then yes, FINALLY, SATURDAY I GET INITIATED!!! :D I am sooooo excited!!! hehehe

Oh, I love what you did put! It's so sweet! Have an great time at formal and an even better time at initiation! Make sure to come back and let us know what you thought of it (who am I kidding, I know she will think it is beautiful and amazing!). :)

I'm a little late (maybe)

I was actually pretty broke when I made my paddle so what I did was I bought a wood plaque from a craft store stained it myself and carved the symphony onto the front of it. It's different than most but she really loved it. Maybe that can help.
