What should I do?
I am a sophomore in college and I am interested in pledging AKA. The problem is the chapter at my school is suspended. I want to know what other options do I have. Their suspension may not be up for a number of years. Although I would love to pledge at my own school, neighboring universities are having informationals and I would hate to miss my chance. Also what is the general feeling towards people who become members at schools other than their own? Please help me soon.

You can only attend a rush at your school unless your school does not have a chapter. Then, you could go to another school or a city wide chapter. Unfortunately, your school does have a chapter, so the only way you could do undergrad is to change schools. I am not in any way, telling you to do that. You can always wait until after you graduate and try then.

I know this is an old thread howevever, i had a question on this topic. Well my school does not have a chapter and one of the presidents of the grad chapter said it is not allowed to go to another school to "attend a rush". But she did say that i could try out the city wide chapter unfortunately for me there isn't one located near me. Why is that the members of the grad chapter said it is not allowed to attend another schools "rush" while undergrad members say it is okay? So i was wondering is it possible to create a city wide chapter or share a chapter with another school? I have checked the national website already and there isn't any info on that.
