I hate dental work
 

sob sob sniff sniff.....groan in pain.

I've had a heck of a day. First found out a co-workers husband passed away unexpectedly this weekend.

Then, I had a toothache in a tooth that I had just put a crown on in the past couple of years. Called the dentist and he referred me to a specialist for a root canal. Well after she hit the infected nerve when numbing me (imagine shooting pain in the jaw) and lots of drilling etc it turns out the tooth is being reabsorbed by the jaw bone (whatever that means) and it really wasn't savable. So she charged me a discounted rate of $250 and refered me to the oral surgeon to have the tooth pulled.

So I get to the oral surgeon and while walking in the rain to the office I slip and fall. strained my ankle a little bit.

When the doctor tried to put the iv in my arm to knock me out he tried twice in the left arm. Hurt like heck and he said that he thinks he punctured through the vein. So he finally gets it in on the right side but kept moving it a little so it hurt like heck.

I had the tooth pulled around 5 today and it didn't stop bleeding until close to 10:00. I've had teeth pulled before but for some reason this one is really hurting me like never before. The doctor did give me some darvocet and that helped but I think it's about time to take another one.

Thanks for listening my sisters. I just needed to vent my frustration and pain since any talking i do right now hurts.

Ouch! Dental work usually doesn't bother me, but then again, I have never had anything major done other than having my wisdom teeth removed. I hope you are feeling better....enjoy your medicine ;) --take it in moderation! And no driving:D

Ow. I'm so sorry for you! I hate dental work too...but i've been lucky to never have had a bad experience (even with my root canal and wisdom teeth)

I'm not looking forward to this summer tho...i need a lot of dental work done. One of my front teeth is grey, so i want to do sumthinbout that...and another one is chipped. Can't do nuthin bout it now tho, til I return home.

well, Feel Better! At least its over and you can heal now!

Just call me chipmunk today. Thanks everyone for the posts. I'm feeling a bit better today, of course the darvocet helps with that.

Hi Everyone,

My mouth is finally feeling better. Went back to the oral surgeon on Monday and he said it's healing well. Yeah.

All I have to say now is now only do I hate dental work but I officially hate the Month of April. It started out horrible and looks like its ending horrible too.

Besides the dental work and other bad things at the beginning of the month it's officially gotten worse. On Monday after I left the dentist I got a call from my mother and she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. It looks like she's going to have a double masectomy.

Yesterday as I was pulling out of my parking space the woman in the space behind me pulled out and rearended me. So my lovely car has to go in to the shop.

Life officially sucks.
