Whatz Up with other chapters?!?!?

I was wondering....How are other chapters at other schools? I hear all the time about chapters, but I want to know from the sisters that I love and trust!!! Our chapter at UCF is amanzing...We are Zeta Omega and we just retired the last UCF,had a homecoming court representive this last year, won chapter excellence at greek awards, have collegite athleats, captian of the dance team and all its dancers, winners of Phi Kapp's bowling tourtments, and ZTA fashion show 3rd place winners, ONLY tri-delta dance down sority participants, five O-teamers, and Five Roh-Chi's, I am forgetting soo much..we swept Greek Adwards and I think that we were sernated the most for homecoming(4 chapters wanted us!!!!) but I am not sure!!! We are the top sority on campus and always get the best!!!! I am forgetting sooooo much, but you get the point..we are know as the sweetest...Cutie D Pi's is what I usually hear-that and you always marry an ADPi!!! All right now i wanna know about the rest of you...I have 170+ curious sisters...so spill it!!!

Hey girls,
I always love hearing about other ADPi's kicking butt at their schools too! At Gettysburg (PA) this past year had: 3 sisters inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, 3 into Order of Omega, panhel president, 5 rho-chis, Diamond 4-point 6 years in a row, 1st place Gamma Phi 3x3 B-ball tournament, 2nd for Greek Week (won tug o war!), our seniors won Air Bands (kinda like Greek sing), and our pledge class (35 girls) had the highest new member GPA. We don't have homecoming or anything so nothing there http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif Anyway, our sisterhood is very strong and we are the girls whom people like to party with! You can find our 110 sisters all over campus in every major, activity and hot spot.
Pi love,
Delta Rho

Hi girls!! I am an ADPi from Iota (FSU) and we are doing great. Our biggest honor is that we have won Sorority of the Year for the past three years. We've had the highest GPA for like, 10 semesters too. This year, we won overall Homecoming, which included winning 1st in banner, 1st in float, and 1st in skit plus we had a homecoming court member. Also, we won Tiger Toss which is a cheerleading competition between the sororities. It helped that we have 3 current FSU cheerleaders and a few former ones! Plus, we have two Golden Girls. We have girls in every organization on campus. My sisters are all smart, beautiful, and have wonderful personalities! I am so proud to be an ADPi and love hearing about the chapters on other campuses! Pi Love!

ADPi at Texas Tech

We placed third in Farm House Smart Girls, Past and present Miss Greek Texas Tech's are ADPi's, we have members in Order of Omega, 4 Rho Chi's, top ten for homecoming queen, second place on homecoming float, panhel treasurer, largest pledge class on greek circle, and we are known as smart, pretty and lots of fun! There is so much more that I can't remember right now. I love being an ADPi. I think it's great to hear about how we rank on other campuses too!

Much Pi Love-
Ryan:p

The epsilon xi chapter at Northern Arizona University has become so much more involved recently, which is so exciting to watch. We won greek week this year, have 2 rho chis (when you are at a school with a fairly small rush that is great), we have panhellenic president, vp new membershi, family weekend chair, ifc liason, vp scholarship, and intramurals educator (this past election we took over panhellenic), we also have many girls in different honor societies (Order of Omega, Gamma Beta Phi, etc), we also one Delta Upsilon's Duck Ball tournament. That is what I can think of for now. This is just such a great accomplishment, when a few years back our chapter was almost dormant. I love my sisters so much and cant wait till rush.

Pi Love, Katie

hey y'all! what's up with eta beta... let's see... our panhel/ifc is trying to really cut back on competition between chapters so our awards have changed drastically in the past year or so... but! adpi definitely got 2 of 4 of the chapter awards for the sororities... best new member program and scholarship programs out of those while theta took best philanthropy program and much to our chagrin, took most panhellenic, which we had held from the past year... we Will retake that next year!!! we have quite a few gamma rho chi's and alot of us are going on a leadership retreat a couple weeks before school starts back up in august that the college holds. our president, marcie, and i just got back from memphis and impact adpi :D.... we're very involved around campus... ta's, freshman seminar assistants, track and other sports, different majors, we're a very diverse group, and we received a very large compliment from our panhel pres. told us we probly had the strongest sisterhood on campus, at a very rough time for the whole school this past semester. AND... kirstin dolan, the new grand council member, is an alum from eta beta!!! we're all so very happy for her and proud!!!
we have three (the most allowed) sisters on panhellenic council as well, so we're definitely involved there....
well, i could go one :D but it's late... i'm happy and impressed with all the great chapters out there that have posted! congrats and keep up the good work!

oh! a little p.s. one of our goals this year is to get more alumni involvement goin on... we're trying to do a peach pie with adpi thing for founders day or whatnot, and really have a good homecoming turnout... if anyone has any suggestions for alum activities lemme know they'd be greatly appreciated!

I always love a chance to bragg about my sisters!!!

Our chapter, Zeta Upsilon, is the LARGEST sorority on campus with 50 girls (we are a small university).
Our current chapter president ran for student body president last year, but sadly lost due to 7 VOTES!!!!
One sister of ours (who was in my Alpha Class) is the current Vice President of the Student Body.
We have the highest GPA out of all of the Greeks of the University.
Our president from 3 years ago was given the opportunity to be a TCC... we are very proud of her.

I know we have other accomplishments, but it is so late now that it is getting hard for me to remember! LOL So I think I'll be off to bed now!

kayla_adpi 11-20-2002 02:22 PM

the sisters of zeta eta have several accomplishments. my sisters are involved in pretty much it seems like every organization on campus. we got an award this past semester for one of the highest gpas. there are several other accomplishments but i think our most greatest one was doubling our chapter size. it keeps increasing every year. we have our second initiation coming up this week for 6 of our alphas. and we just got another alpha a week ago. we are almost up to 60 members whereas last year we had 30. sorry i just had to brag about us just a little. we are all very proud. for a small university and being the smallest chapter we sure have jumped into everything this year and impressed several people. THIS IS THE YEAR FOR ADPI TO BE ON TOP!!!! its great to see how great adpi chapters across the us are doing. keep up the great work.
L&L,
Kayla

Excellent idea for a thread!! Maybe the Adelphean will pick up some of the news - I know our pr chairman was always a day late & a dollar short!

One of the reasons I decided to post was sweetie's mention of the alumnae & peach pie thing. When I was an active, one of the sisters mentioned that her mother called apple pie "Apple Delta Pie" and we took off with it. It helped in recruitment (we didn't serve it, but we called ourselves as wholesome & American as "Apple Delta Pie") - it was a good memory jogger. Eventually, it developed into Apple Delta Pi night, with hot apple pie and ice cream - the wedge of pie being the Delta, of course! Good memories!

ps - kate - a friend of mine works at Valpo as secretary to one of the coaches. Her elder daughter graduates from high school next year & will be going to Valpo. She's a keeper! Let's keep in touch so I can rec sheet her appropriately, okay?

sweetie adpi 11-26-2002 11:50 PM

how bout this??? !!! our sister passed for panhel president for the upcoming year!!!!!! (after a big "not all chapters were represented in slating" fiasco) we are so proud!!! :D :D :D (let's see if we can keep up the three person representation next year as well... panhel slating is next week after break...)

this past weekend, maureen calloway came and ran a recruitment workshop for us... it rocked, maureen is wonderful! we're so lucky to have had her visit :) i learned so much, and i'm a veteran, hehe ;) i am so pumped for recruitment next semester :D i'm co-chair for our first nite, which is history and heritage nite... we have some great ideas! if anyone has any suggestions, though, lemme know... esp. good door songs and cheers... feel free to pm me!

pi lovin, y'all! keep up the great work, and have an amazing thanksgiving... i know i have SO much to be thankful for!
