someone has GOT to help me make a studyboard!!!
you guys gotta help me!! I'm making a studyboard for my little sister this weekend and I need help. i don't want my board to look like crap like everyone elses. all my little sister's stuff is sooo adorable and i want this to be cute, too!!
the board is painted and schlacked (sp?). how do i get the cushioning on the bottom and the fabric??? should i use a pillow or stuffing? you can tell i'm clueless and my sisters aren't much help. |
I used solid foam and cut it to the shape of the lapboard when I made one for a friend. You can get automotive upholstery 3-4 inches thick, and it's cushy and easy to work with. I cut it to the right size and shape, used spray-on adhesive to adhere it to the back of the lapboard, then attach the fabric backing to the sides.
If you could find a pillow that's the right size, that would probably work really well, too. I know lots of people stuff them, too. |
