To all of ya'll who told me that I MUST attend my first formal: ya'll can rest easier, I WILL be going. One of my sisters found me a date.

We are also having Eta Kappa's formal on the 26th. My awesome boyfriend will be my escort and I'm so excited about it. This is the first time I have ever bought a formal dress with out my mom there to help pick it out. It's amazing the little things that make you miss her...but my dad went with me and picked it out and it's beautiful! I'll post pictures of us after the ball. Ours will be the Cream Rose Ball! I'm so happy have decided to go Laura! You'll have so much fun! What does your dress look like?! :D

Hehe, I don't have a dress yet ;) I'll be going home next weekend and buying one!

Since all the chatting about Anchor Ball...

We had our Ball on April 5th and it was fantastic!

The food was great, the band was outstanding, and the drinks weren't too overpriced.

The only bad thing was our buses were about 2 hours late...but every single girl outside kept her cool and we all justmade the best of it.

:) I love my sisiters.

My chapter just had Formal on Sat. April 12th. It was SOOOOOO much fun!! It was held at the Adams Mark Hotel in downtown Jacksonville. The Theme was "A Moment Like This." The decortations were pink and white. This was the best formal ever! There were two Characiturist (sorry spelling?) there who were drawing the funnist pictures of everyone. Its weird that my chapter doesn't call formal an Anchor Ball... maybe next year we'll start.

Your formal sounds like so much fun, sailorchic! The Adams Mark is sooooo beautiful--I went there went NC State was in the Gator Bowl this past January. Carolyn (WhiteDaisy) and I will have to let you know how our formal turns out. I'm really looking forward to it! :D

i definitely have to agree with sailorchic (kelly)...our formal this year was the best ever!!! thanks to our awesome sister kellie for puttin it together...makin it awesome...even down to the formal t-shirts which have to be our cutest shirts ever as well! this was my first "formal" event with my very very very NEW fiance...and it was definitely a night to remember...and the "characitures" or however you spell it were such an awesome touch...ours is definitely getting framed even though the faces are hilarious!!! once again, ETA DELTA chapter of Delta Gamma ceases to amaze me...we have the most wonderful group of ladies :) ITB

Yay! Formal is tonight!!!! I'm so excited! I have my hair done and makeup...all that is lest is putting on my dress! Yay! Pictures are at 5 with my friends, then we leave at 6:30 on the bus to the hotel! I'm so excited! I'll post pictures tomorrow!

Boo Hoo! I miss formals! All I have are military balls now! And believe me its not the same! At those its easy to tell who the military wives are (and no offense to the ladies and God bless em) b/c some of them have visiable tattoos showing! lol At one ball I think I was the only women there w/o a tattoo! Anywho, I'll post some wedding pics up when they get here. That's the closest I can get :)

We had our formal April 5 in downtown Greenville. It was so much fun and I couldn't tell you about the drink prices b/c Im under 21 but people didn't seem to have a problem with them. It was my first Golden Anchor Ball and it was one I will never forget! Everyone had a blast and we are still talking about how much fun it was. :D
