Playoff Ritual
 

Ok so today began the day of the NHL playoffs, it is the theme up here which will dominate the next 2 months. My question is, what is your ritual for the playoffs? regardless of the sport, what do you do in order to coax your team to a win?

I know i always wear a clean Leafs jersey!

I know when I go to the Admirals' games (AHL hockey), I wear my White home jersey with a White turtleneck. Whiteout time.

As for watching the games at home...my team is out of it, Chicago (is anyone surprised with Smith running the team? :mad:), so I just enjoy the games with my beer and root for anyone playing the Red Wings! But that is going to be hard since Cujo plays for them now ~ he is an ex-Admiral.

ARGH!! I am just going to enjoy my hockey and pray my admirals don't screw up!

I never wash my Jersey during the playoffs. I have two and whichever I start with, I stick with until the end. Also, my dad and I get a french silk pie at the beginning of every new playoff round...(don't ask me why, pie is just good)!

LOL, I thought this thread was about "playing off a ritual" as in "someone pretending to be in a certain GLO by knowing a ritual."

I have no "playoff ritual" other than thinking to myself 'I hope they win.'

My brothers (blood) and I decorate our family room in Leafs gear: shirts, banners, blankets, coasters, cups, flags, those little cups from Labatts, table cloths.... and we always were a jersey for the game.

Oh yeah.... we always hang a jersey in the front window along with a old banner "Go Leafs Go" and add a leaf sticker for each win... and a cup for each round.

As you can guess the family is pretty big fans of the game... god we had 30 people over last night and went through a keg (can't do that at the frat); maybe next time I'll inivte some of the guys from the Fraternity over :)

I tell every Detriot fan that the Red Wings suck and that my Avalanche are gonna kick their ass and take the cup.

Hey, it worked twice before.

I don't wear pants.

I carry around my white towel ;).

I'll be skating around some bar in Kentucky, with Ilovemyglo on my shoulder and pretending she's Lord Stanley's Cup.
