Many of the folks in Iraq are celebrating the fall of Saddam Hussein and his regime.
Sorhors and Friends of Sigma,
I noticed that the reports are showing many of the Iraqis and coalition forces celebrating the fall of Saddam and his regime, however, I don't think that we've seen the last of him and his kind. Serioussigma22:cool: I still think the war is going to drag on for a few days. |
with the american media, you can never really trust what you see... i mean, after all, the government filters what the media is allowed to present to us. and besides that, they want to paint the most victorious and progressive picture that they can for the folks here in the states. but i just hope it's over ASAP. as for old saddam, it's like the saying goes: you can kill the man, but you can't kill his movement. unless you put something extremely stable in his vacancy, then the next saddam in only waiting somewhere in the wings for his chance to take up where his predecessor left off. bill clinton was actually at our school last week and he spoke about the whole iraqi war and dropped A LOT of knowledge about how the international scene works... AND HE IS STILL THE SMOOTHEST MAN IN POLITICS!
but... i wonder where saddam is these days? |
I don't think we have seen the last of ole Saddam. I think he's somewhere chiilin with Bin Laden laughing at us. I believe he will re-emerge when least expected.

I was talking to my co-workers about where ole' Benny might be. The question is what country would be willing to put him up and how much power does he really have?
edited to add: Also, this guy I'm sure has body doubles, has acess to plastic surgery, etc. He has the means to "get away" at his disposal. I really don't think he would stick around to see his country get blown up. It's too much of a risk for him to get caught. I think he took seats in the balcony for this show and hi-tailed to someplace like Switzerland! |
Sorhors and Friends of Sigma,
Many marines and other military personal are still being killed and those Iraqis are out-of-control just acting like they have lost their minds. Anyway, it's still not over with and I agree that we haven't heard the last from Saddam, Osama, and any other terrorist group that is out there. Serioussigma22:( My thoughts and prayers are with the soldier because they were sent over there to deal with all of that chaos. |

My feelings exactly. |
And another thing. . .
They are already sending several of their battle ships and fighting jets back to the U.S. and leaving many of the troops and units of the army behind to deal with the mess that "W" created. Serioussigma22:cool: |
