I feel like crap, someone please take me out back and shoot me!
 

Woke up in the middle of the night, thought i was just thirsty cause my throat hurt. Woke up, it still hurt. Realized that I have friggin' strep throat. Anytime I get sick, ever since I was a kid, I get strep. I can easily diagnose myself.

Went to student health today, got some penicillin. Thank God. But they said since I caught it so early, i'll probably feel worse before I feel better b/c it doesn't kick in for about 24 hours. So far they're right. All day it's been downhill.

Usually when I feel like isht I take a coupla swigs of tequila and I'm better the next day. ;)

That's 'cause tequila (or scotch or vodka or Jack Daniel's ;) ) contains a well-known anti-viral agent. ;) Not responsible for hangovers, though... that's Dr. Seltzer's (hangover helper) department! :D

I hate strep. I had it about 20 times in college. No joke. Drink tea and soup and take your medicine. Chloreseptic throat spray helps too.

Unfortunately strep is a bacteria, so the antiviral agent in tequila won't help. Unless you do mean antibacterial. Obviously I've never heard of what you're talking about :) Better stick with the penicillin. ;)

Seriously though, maybe I should try the tequila thing when I get a cold...

Fortunately, I have only had strep once in my life (knocks on wood). But I remember how horrible I felt, so I wish you nothing but good wishes to feel better. I hate being sick, especially when the weather is warming up. Well, atleast it's supposed to warm up, but such is not the case here in Maryland. Anyway, feel better!;)

I woke up this morning, after about 10 1/2 hours of sleep (i love not having class in the morning on Thursday) and 3 doses of penicillin yesterday- and I FEEL BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!! Woohoo! Still not 100%, but I don't need shot anymore, hehe.
