Is it ok for a school to take 7th and 8th graders to Hooters?

This really happened. They said they took them there because it was the only restaurant around that could hold them all. The parents seemed to be more concerned about the effects on the girls that were in the group. Personally I think it should be a big deal. Like people have pointed out before you can see alot worse on tv and the beach.

I understand they can see more on TV or at the beach but it's the fact that a school district would condone this and then try to defend themselves with that fact that it was the only restuarant large enough to seat them. I think the superintendent was just assinine to even think of stopping there.

I think kids need a better sense of imagination.

CTFU!

Well, at least it would have been super cheap - the boys would have been so busy staring they wouldn't have bothered to eat.

and the teachers wouldn't have to worry about them being hyperactive for the rest of the day.. .after a HOOTERS bathroom break for them. . .most would just want to go to sleep. . .

Steve are you really a semi prude!? :D

My god, what a topic of conversation on a semi adult web site!

Never been in a Hooters, but last I heard, they had clothes on.

Skimpy, but not sure!

Could always take them to a truck stop where the girls wore checkered dresses with buttoned lace collors up to the double chins! Oops maybe so skinny from working dishes to Truckers to look good in any thing!

Hell, go int an AppleBees, home in KC area, put shorts ond tight things on them and WAAAHOOO! If food is bad, wont go anyway. Take them to Chucky-Cheese with mechanical animals and crappy food! Da!

Ride a buggy behind a horse and see what that would do for kids!

Hell they no more than most of you did a few years back, me, it was a lot of a fews years back!:D

No...not cool.

They could've ordered a pizza.

Yes, you can see more skin on tv or the beach, but I wouldn't expect teachers to take kids to the beach, or to watch tv. I don't think it was appropriate.

Very good points.:D

Shoot man, my parents used to take us to Show Me's (Missouri's version of Hooter's :D) after church some Sunday's at that age and we turned out fine. The wings were awsome, but they were greasier than my grandmother's hair.

They should have checked with the parents first. What the heck were the adults in charge thinking?!

Kevin 04-08-2003 07:51 PM

Forget about the T&A they'd see.. Think of the thousands of calories and all the saturated fat they're making those poor kids eat in those wings. Probably result in congestive heart failure later on down the road.

That should be worth at least 100 million or so in punative damages.
