Sandy, what a great website! I can't wait till my chapter's is up...hopefully when we return to school we'll have ours. And I LOVED the surfing squirrel- did your chapter design it? The reason I asked is because it's extremely cute and I had never seen it before. It reminded me of how a girl at our chapter designed a "sexy squirrel" that wore a camo "mini" and little top (we're a military campus- the reason for camo). We were going to use it for our shirts that said something to the effect of "Sammy the squirrel would give his left nut (he was holding a nut in each hand) to go to the AGD crush party. We didn't use it though...some of our girls didn't think the saying was very appropriate. Sorry, I got off track...just wanted to let you know it was a great website. =)

*LOL* The surfing squirrel was created by one of the chapter sisters and the guy who works at the printing company.
We thought that it would be cute to have Recruitment shirts that are unique to Hawaii, so the idea of surfing and Hawaiian print immediately came to mind. The only thing missing was the squirrel, and it looked so darling! It's ironic that we have a design like that, because there are no squirrels in Hawaii. In fact, I've never ever seen one up close before. After we made the shirts for the chapter, we found out that the alumnae wanted them too...and boy, did they buy a lot. One of the alums suggested that we should sell them to other AGD chapters and offered to front the money to print out all these shirts. With AGD's fundraising policies, we had to keep fundraising sales limited to word of mouth, but there was nothing wrong with putting up a personal site with the T-shirt design. Pretty soon sisters from all over the world bought shirts, and we were able to send 5 to Convention! Whatever money is left over will definitely go to Foundation. |
I brought a Delta Sigma shirt and i LOVE it! I told my chapter about it and we ended up ordering like 20 shirts!

Sandy,
Your chapter's website is awesome! I visited it and even signed the guestbook. Our chapter's site is in desperate need of being updated. My favorite part is that you have a section for your alumns. We have a lot of active alumns who would love to still be included in the webpage. The surfing squirrel is also very cute. I liked it so much I sent its image to some of my sisters! Jen |
