Why I love Tequilla!
 

Tequilla is not a wishy-washy drink for the faint hearted. Tequilla is a personal choice. A statement if you will. Maybe even a state of mind.

You'll hear people say: "I'm not in the mood for Tequilla tonight." Like they have to kick off their shoes and dance on the bar if they start quaffing shots.

I love tequilla because I have met very few people who are "just ok" with it. They either love Tequilla or Hate Tequilla.

Two camps perpetually at odds with each other. And not many people sit in no man's land in between.

I love Tequilla because it seems like everyone has a "Tequilla Story" that either happened to them or a friend.

I love women that do shots of Tequilla, especially sans Salt and lemon (training wheels), because nothing shouts hard core party girl like a woman doing a shot and snarling for another.

I am woman see me roar for Tequilla (deliberate misrepresentation).

And finally, I love Tequilla because it just seems to have a special magic to it. When that bottle of Tequilla comes out and shots are poured, it screams:

[Cue March Music] Glory Glory halleujah . . . .

"We are getting righteous tonight! Yea though we walk through the Valley of the Shadow Death, we will Fear NO Evil, because Tequilla makes us the baddest sumbitches in the Valley!"

I am one of the tequila in betweeners. I don't long for it, but I never turn it down. I don't do the lime and salt either. I have done it, but it was like, why dilute the alcohol with other tastes? lol

This coming from someone who likes nothing better than a hearty Long Island.

I like tequila shots if they are ICE cold....yum. But if I take more than two I get sick, two gets me quite drunk though. :D The last time I had tequila was when I was at a Delta Sig party and the owner of the bar kept buying me and my roommate tequila shots. I definately got REAL sick after that night. :o

Ugh, my stomach hurts just thinking about it. I can only drink it if I am already tipsy enough to know better. :D

SO true! At least in my case! My tequila story is when I took 4 shots (after 4 shots of vodka, which may have had something to do with it) and promptly got VERY sick about 5 minutes later! I still love tequila, but after that night I learned that tequila and vodka do NOT mix!
