Guess who's getting intiated this month!!!

Yup, it's me!!!:D I am SOOOOOOO EXCITED that we're getting initiated this semester!!! I guess this is something they don't normally do when they have a spring pledge class, so we're special ;) Anyway, our initiation is April 26...the day after formal!!! It's such a busy month for me in ChiO, and I am so excited that I'm part of such a great sisterhood and I get to be initiated in...22 days (not counting today)!!!

Congratulations on your upcoming Initiation into Chi Omega. I am so thrilled that you are excited and ready to become a sister in the sorority. You will soon understand all the beauty that is Chi Omega.

Keep up the good work and have fun at your formal! :)

Congratulations, uwgirl!

I loved reading your rush story, and am so excited you will soon be an Initiated sister. Our ceremony is really beautiful...be prepared to be blown away.

Thank you!!! I'm VERY excited!!! :D I'll keep everyone updated with initiation and all that good stuff. We have Derby Days this week (I think it is just a sorority competition held by Sigma Chi...don't really know yet) and on Friday we have a pledge retreat at the house...so busy, but very excited to spend some time with my ChiO girls! :)

Our 6 new spring pledges get initiated at the end of the month too! I can't wait! I have become really close to one of the girls and I am so excited that she will be my sister soon! It is so funny to watch the girls go through the same feelings that I went through in January :) Be excited, UWgirl! I did the same thing, in a past thread, another girl and I counted down the days together on the board since we got initiated on the same day in different chapters. We all know how excited you are! :)

How exciting for you, uwgirl! Initiation is such a beautiful time. Just a word of caution, you and your pledge sisters might want to take it easy on the alcohol at formal. The day of initiation is a full day and you have so much to take in and be excited about, you definitely don't want to be hung over!!! :D Make sure to post after it's all done! I know you will love it!

That is of course if you're old enough to drink :)

Woohoo! Initiation keeps getting closer and closer!!! While of course I don't know what's going to happen, I'm getting very excited! It was kinda funny, a few of the girls at our pledge meeting last night were like, "Do we do .....? Because I heard they do it at the southern schools." and so on... It was kinda funny...we'll find out at initiation time what happens, but some of the girls are getting really nervous too! I'm having so much fun though, I can't wait to be a sister! :)

There is NOTHING to be nervous about! Only excited! It's a beautiful event and you will learn A LOT, so keep your ears and eyes open! :D

kathy - you took the words right out of my mouth! :)

I'm very excited for initiation! Only 2 more weeks now! Our pledge retreat Friday was a lot of fun and we really got to know each other a lot better! Also on Friday was the dance competition for Derby Days (ran by Sigma Chi...don't know if this is only a UW thing or a Sigma Chi national philanthropy, like Greek Week), so I got to dance in it! We did not win the dance competition, but Chi Omega took first place out of all 11 sororites, so we're Derby Days champs for the first time in 30 years!!! :D
