What's with all of these people asking me for money? Do I look like a got damn slot or ATM machine??? :mad: What's worse is the hidden costs.


Within the last few weeks I've been asked for:

*I signed up for some bowling contest-then someone asked me where's their $45, fool, why didn't you tell me that before I signed up. I guess there will be one short for bowling.

*$27 for damn sweatshirt I didn't even want and didn't even know it was that expensive.

*About $30 worth of films to develop. Oh hell no, if you want your pics back, feel free to get them developed yourself!

*$20 for a required banquet.

*20 bottles of water for saturday's workshops. I don't usually buy bottled water. How much is that? Like $20? If so, people are going to be mighty thirsty this weekend. :p

*Now, why the hell do we need $20 to go to Chicago, and everything is supposed to be paid for? That $20 doesn't even count for meals.

*and another $17 to see some f**king CLEAN improv comedy while in Chicago.

*APhiO. Got damn, this organization is more expensive than ZTA was. :eek:

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a cheapskate or anything. I'm just not working this semester. Do people realize that?

if you have access to a costco or sam's club you can get a case of water for like, $8

Instead of complaining maybe suggest fundraisers?

APhiO is costing me more money than ZTA did, despite that it isn't social GLO. One of the things that are supposed to separate social GLOs from non-social GLOs is the cost, not in my case.

You can do a search of any of Dionysus' many personalities.

When I was in college, it was the same way. In my dorm we were ordering shirts for our floor's football team. The guy said we need to pay $5 now so I'm thinking that's pretty inexpensive for a sport's jersey. A week later he needed $35 more. :eek: That was a lot of money for me at the time. Plus they never even let me play. It sucks to be in college and not rich.

Fundraising and costco are good ideas. You can have a bake sale. Those were pretty successful. Good luck! :)

I think that they were wondering about ZTA. :)

because when you buy individual bottles of water in the store they are about $1-$2..

i used to buy a big bottle of water every day(64 oz) and it was $1.99

then i discovered if i went to costco w/my friend i could get a case of 12 for less then $8..talk about a ripoff
