Porn and the military
 

So I am getting a care package together for my friend that is in the war and I wanted to send him some porn, cause they are lonely and I know him and his libido.... I am trying to be a good friend, so i bought him a Hustler and Biguns... anyway someone told me I can't send them because they are against the law over there...
So, does anyone know??!!
Can I send the entire magazine? Should I rip out the pages of the naked chicks and just send them? What about the erotic stories, should I forget the chicks and just send them so he doesn't get in trouble? Are those outlawed too?

Well I remember hearing it was in illegal in Saudi. Not sure about Kuwuit. Don't think it matters in Iraq I doubt the US is abiding any of their laws. You might try a safer magazine like playboy, because a ranchy magazine like hustler might scare those deeply reliogus muslims too much. It's cool that you braved those looks from the store clerks getting those magazines for him.

They are against the law . . . probably better not to send them.

Um, dumb question maybe, but where exactly would guys take care of business over there? Not like they have real private bathroom/shower stalls, right? :confused:

I don't know but I love my buddy to death and we share WAAAYYY TOO Much info with each other, so I know he is over there going nuts cause that boy has sex about 3 times a day with or without a partner. His best guy friend is over there.
I don't know where they take care of business, but I think after a talk with another guy in the military I am going to send one dirty story and one picture... a week. That way he has something to look forward to every week.. if he gets in trouble I will find out from people. My friend here knows some MPS and they said that so long as he hides it on his persons he should be fine, and I am sure that they will share!

Hey, it gets lonely, even in the military. If those boys are fighting hard for us, the least they can get is some tits and ass! Even if it has to come from a magazine!

I guarantee you that pornographic materials, whether mainstream or more....err..."deviant" will be confiscated.

Depends on which Middle Eastern Muslim country he's stationed at. As mentioned before in this thread the military enacts a general prohibition on pornography and 'racy' men's magazines.

Saudi Arabia and Iran are really conservative Islamic countries, though the surrounding countries, such as Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Yemen and the United Arab Emirates vary in their interpretation on the sharia or Islamic law.

The Saudis, being that the ruling royal family embraces the strictly conservative Wahhabi sect and also custodians of two of the three holiest cities in Islam (Mecca and Medina -- the third is Jerusalem) are the real hard-a**es in enforcing the law. The matawain or religious police stalk around the streets looking for violations of Islamic law, and are not afraid to crack the whip at some female (Islamic or foreigner) who dares to show a little too much flesh than what's allowed.

Some of the surrounding countries allow liquor to be served and sold, but generally only to foreigners in tourist hotels or expatriate enclaves, but public intoxication is strictly forbidden.

My brother is over there and we had this same conversation~~according to him, do NOT send anything that shows any flesh--- keep it clean like Sports Illustrated, newspapers, etc. No porn, Maxim, Cosmo--nothing like that!!!! I was told not to even attempt it--- the military will randomly search packages, and they will get in trouble!!!
Because of my strict orders not to send porn--I am not send my playboys to him each month. I thought it would be a great gift though--too bad!!!

Why risk getting him in trouble? My advice is to go conservative.

I sent my Dad's friend a Penthouse when he was in Bosnia.
So what if it is illegal. Its illegal in Saudi Arabia for women not be vieled, and our women troops don't wear them.
