The Forgotten war, Not forgotten in Valdosta

The helicoper that crashed a couple days ago in Afghanistan killing all six on board was based from Moody AFB in Valdosta.
It hasn't gotten much coverage because of the Iraqi war and you don't ever see their names and pictures as war dead hero's on tv like their brothers and sisters fighting in Iraq. Please don't forget our troops no matter where they are at. This town has been hit hard but it is pulling together getting even stronger.

here are a couple articles about the forgotten war heros..

The first deals with the female pilot that was killed talking about how a Valdosta class had written her and she replied back to each student. The recieve her letters a week before she got killed..

Here's a toast to the host of those who love the vastness of the sky,
To a friend we send the message of his brother men who fly.
We drink to those who gave their all of old,
Then down we roar to score the rainbow's pot of gold,
A toast to the host of men we boast,
The U.S. Air Force!

Bridge to the U.S. Air Force Song (The Wild Blue Yonder).

(It's a tradition for the U.S. Air Force Academy's Cadet Wing to sing this upon the announcement of the death of a graduate or a fellow flyer.)
