Hey Alpha Phi's:

Do you watch the reality tv shows? I love The Bachelor. I also watch American Idol and Nashville Star if I am home. I also like to watch Sorority Life just to see how different the local sororities are from Alpha Phi.

I hate Real World and Road Rules! There have been just too many seasons.

I have never been a Survivor fan, either.

What do ya'll think???

I am totally obsessed with American Idol. I can't miss an episode. Same goes for Survivor. I was on vacation last week, and the digital cable box didn't change channels to record Survivor (it doesn't work well with Tivo I guess), so I missed that episode and am sooo upset!

I've actually thought about applying for Big Brother. I have no job at the moment, so it'd be a good way to spend my time. But I don't know if I could leave my husband for that long! Going to the regional conference for two nights was hard!

As for Sorority Life, I've heard that it's hurt recruitment in some places. I thought it would be the talk of rush last fall, but not one of the pnm's mentioned it that I am aware of. URI's quota stayed the same as the year before, so it didn't have an effect there. But this season isn't doing a very good job of portraying Greeks. I wonder how Buffalo's rush will be effected in the future.

i always watch survivor, but it seems that we're always having recruitment workshops on the nights american idol is on. which is too bad, since i'm totally rooting for clay to win, and i wish i didn't have to miss it.

but yeah, you want to apply for big brother, i want to apply for survivor. i think it would be so fun. let's just hope it would be during the summer. can you imagine me taking a semester off of school to be on survivor?? :rolleyes:

and i was planning on watching fratenity life (i never watched sorority life) this season, but i hardly have time to even watch survivor and american idol.

....oh... and i'm also a big fan of TLC trading spaces, and while you were out. (although... i'm not sure if you would include that under "reality tv".

I absolutely LOVE "Trading Spaces" and "While You Were Out!" They are great shows. I think it would be awesome for the sororities on my campus to be on trading spaces. We each have chapter rooms, and they really need to be made over!

I am a Reality TV addict! I watch Real World, Road Rules, the Battle of the Sexes, Sorority/Fraternity Life, Big Brother, The Bachelor, American Idol, Amazing Race, Trading Spaces, and While You Were Out.

Speaking of TLC, whenever I'm home during the day, I have to watch a Makeover Story, Dating Story, and a Wedding Story.

I could never get into Survivor at all. I tried watching What Not To Wear on TLC, but I hate the hosts. They are so vicious!

It took me forever to be able to watch A Wedding Story. I first saw the show my senior year of college, and it just stressed me out so much. All I could think is that I should be making my wedding pretty like that. But with school, work, and everything else I just couldn't do it. So my mom planned my wedding and it was simple. I didn't really care, I just wanted to be married. Then after my wedding, it stressed me out because my wedding was so stressful. Only recently can I enjoy the show.

I also like Home Invaders on BBC America. They take things in the house only, and they do 3 rooms. Houses over there can be different, so it's neat to see them.

ooooo... i LOVE :D it on TLC when they do the sorority houses! they look so much better and fun to live in.

it makes me wish we had a house here. ah well.

Back when I had DirecTV, there was a show on one of the British channels called "Airport" or something like that, where they followed people who worked in airports, as well as flight attendants and what-not. It was actually very interesting! So much goes on behind the scenes that you never see.

Believe it or not,I have not watched a reality based tv show since Puck on the Real World.He repulsed me to the point I can't watch it anymore.However I am learning to enjoy WHAT NOT TO WEAR on BBC America.Do any of you watch that?

Did anyone else watch the episode this weekend with the woman from Massachusetts with the long curly frizzy hair that she wouldn't let the stylist cut? I was like, "Hello?" She needed those locks cut so badly! But he did an awesome job making her hair look better.

Ohhh, I love the Bachelor....... I was watching it tonight, and I really like Liz. I didn't ever like Amber (all she ever did was get drunk and stuff her face)! I kind of like Tina from Wisconsin too.......that was so cute how she made him nervous...
