Phi Gamma Delta was truly saddened to hear that brother Brian Matthew Kennedy (Purdue 1999), a USMC corporal, was killed in the helicopter crash that occurred on the Iraq – Kuwait border on Thursday night, March 20. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Kennedy family. Brian’s father is also a Purdue Phi Gam: Mark D. Kennedy 1972. The brothers of the Lambda Iota Chapter at Purdue University knew him as a friend and a brother; now the rest of America will know him as a hero. Brother Kennedy made the ultimate sacrifice for his country, and for that, we will never forget him.

I am deeply saddened at the death of brother Kennedy. My prayers go out to his family and loved ones, as well as all of our other soldiers overseas. May peace be restored with the removal of the horrible tyrant.
