I-Week
 

Hi everyone!

It's midwesterngirl's and my I-Week this week, and I was just wondering if anyone wanted to share their I-week experiences with us?

THis week is our I-Week too. Have fun!

Ooohhhhh.....

Now that's taking me back down memory lane!

....back to the days of study rooms in the union--I clearly remember the most "prim and proper" sister in my class going so stir crazy that she started a round of frisbee in the room with a pancake from breakfast that morning...and the pancake eventually flying out the open window. On the third floor no less. I feel bad for whoever might have been walking by below. Can you imagine going about your own businsess and getting clobbered by a stray pancake? Never laughed so hard in my entire life! I'm cracking myself up right now just thinking about it. Hey, I guess cafeteria food is bad no matter where you go.

....learning silly songs like "Peanut Butter and Jelly"

....having nightly sisterhood activities with the chapter like signing ivy paddles, and most importantly the night before COI when we talked about what Alpha Phi meant to us as pledges, including one word we chose to describe Alpha Phi. Our big sis' then used that to create our paddles which we received after initiation. Very different from the paddles you see today! Mine says "HERITAGE" on the front, and then has a letter to me from my big on the back.


Ahhhhh--sisters!

I just realized my chapter's initiation is this Saturday as well. :) I'm so happy to be a Phi! My grandlittle will be initiated this Saturday, so I'm super excited about going up to meet her.

I know alums don't usually get to do cool I-week stuff like this, but it's still nice to read about it. Thanks for sharing it!

Ok Sistermadly and Midwesterngirl...... this is the time of the week that i started getting REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY pumped when i went thru this in November! i will be thinking of you both Saturday. Are either one of you two going to Court of Ivy? I had to miss my COI because the night before my 3 yr old had a fever so i never to go :(


Either way I am sooooooooooo excited for you two as you will be Alum initiates with valkyrie, me, bearal, and who else are AI?????????? Either way....yeah!!!!!!!!!:):):):)

I think that we are both having Court of Ivy. I have another AI going through with me and we are driving to CMSU together.It is about an hour away.We met on Sunday for dinner with our sponsors and they got there before I did and were teasing Lorie,the other alum initiate,about how she would have to pass the Scorpion Test before she could be initiated.Apparently the other ladies are big Fear Factor fans and were telling her she would have to go through things like that to be initiated.Their sense of humor is one the things I enjoy most about this group.
I am starting to get super excited and very nervous too.I can't believe it is just a few days away.:)

Yep, I'm going in.... two and a half hours from now. :D

I'm so excited! I've got to do something with my hair! OMG! :eek:

It was great! I got to meet the other new member (COB), which was cool... she seems like a very down-to-earth young woman. Definitely a great addition to the chapter!

I'm definitely ready for Saturday! I can't wait! :D
