Speed Dating/Pre-Dating
 

I just heard about this on a listserve I am on. I think this is what happened in an episode of The Parkers last season when Kim hooked up with the really big boy from Nutty Professor.

I am tempted but I would have say, NOPE! If your a really open person, then this is for you!:p

I know a Soror that actually went to one of these date events in NYC and actually enjoyed her self. She says that it has to be a mutal attraction before you exchange information. You can give as little or as much info. as you want. It's up to both parties to either set up a follow up date or what have you.

That was about a month ago, she didn't make a "love" connection, but has a new cool "hang out" friend. I say to each his/her own.

Cute concept....seems like it is a no pressure way to meet guys. From the comments on the site it seems that both of you have to consider it a "match" for the pre-date folks to pass your information on.

I read about a similar concept in a magazine/newspaper recently (an article like the recent Newsweek article--or maybe it was the Newsweek article??). The woman there thought it was a good concept too, but there were twice as many woman as men, and a few of them men there said someone "made" them come. Not too promising!
