Greek Week competition - HELP!

I'm Greek Week rep for my house, and one of the events is "Air Bands;" basically each team comes up with this 10-minute long skit. It has to be really good; it has to be all pre-recorded, and the great ones have mostly music and dance. I'm a choreographer, but does ANYONE have any good ideas for a plot?
Help.... :)

ZLAM, is it based on a theme or is it wide open for your choice?

How about the Blues Brothers, that always gets me when I see it!!!! How about the ending of the Revenge of the Nerds!

Something like a U S O type thing, (Boogie Woogie Bugle Boys, from Bett Midler)

Both are very up beat!

Good luck!:)

We call that Spring Sing.

Last year we were paired with the Sigma Kappas and I'll have to say we kicked ass.

Our theme was MTV in the 80's. We had dances to several 80's songs including Hey Mickey (cheerleaders), Every Rose Has It's Thorn, I Love Rock & Roll and more.

We won...

We just finished Derby Days, and they have airband. We did "How to Choose a Sigma Chi in Ten Days" as a spin-off to the movie. Spin-offs to current movies always go over really well.

I can give you the themes of past derby days and greek sings. all of them did generally well in the end.

A candy theme: all the songs pertain to candy and other sweets
A "crazy" theme: everyone dresses like they are in a psych ward and do songs like "insane in the membrane" and "freak out." Phi sig did that last year... awesome.
A jungle theme: guns and roses, lion sleeps tonight... you get the idea.
a rescue theme: everyone dresses like firefighters, drs, lifeguards, etc. We did that last year and we brought back the Baywatch themesong which was stuck on our heads for days.
A party theme: all songs pertaining to parties
biker chicks/heavy metal: every time i see this done, it's done well. gamma phi did something like this for derby days and kinda ended with a downhome american feeling.

I'd tell ya what our theme was for this year's greek sing, but it's a secret until friday ;)

we do air bands too. last year Alpha Gam did body parts (songs that mentioned parts ofthe body) Phi Mu did school days (songs that had to do with school subjects), Sigma Kappa did Dungeons and Dragons, Delta Zeta did Cinderella, AOII did Scooby Doo (scary type songs), Fuzzie (that's what they call themselves, i know some chapters don't like that nickname) did Spring Break, and I can't remember what Pi Phi, Chi-O, ADPi and DG did. i know that in the past couple of years themes like money and transportation have also been done. I hope that helps!
