Oh, Canada!
Hi. This next week ( March 22-28) is Ala. Education Assoc. Week (AKA Spring Break) for Alabama schools, including mine. (I'm a preschool teacher, but yall already knew that!) j/k;) Anyway, I won't be around the boards for a while because I am going to Mount Tremblant, Canada. This ski resort town is located about an hour north of Montreal. Are some of our Canadian or other northern AGDs familiar with the town?
See you all when I get back. |
I'm back!!!!! What a great trip!!!!! Lisa

Welcome back, Lisa! Glad to hear you had a great time! :)

Glad to hear you liked Mont Tremblant!
My parents (my mother's an AGD) are ski patrollers there! |
Welcome home, Lisa! We missed you! :)

Thanks everyone! I really liked the little resort town. It's like going to a quaint European town without leaving North America! Since it is in Quebec Provrence, it is very French. That made it a little hard to get around at times. The people there will speak English too.
It also reminded me of Aspen, CO because of the hotels being right there on the base of the ski slopes. And all the condos too! YogiPhi, Do you visit your parents in Tremblant? Do you ski as well? |
Lisa,
I too ski but I live on the other side of the country now in *sunny* Vancouver. The skiing is so much better here at Whistler that Tremblant hardly compares. BUT, the free skiing with my parents, that's an incentive. I only go to visit them about once every 2 years though! My sister's family has a cabin up there and they just got back from skiing too. Apparently there's a ton of snow up there. Usually there is someone from our family up there at all times! You should come out west and try the skiing out here. 4 ski hills within a two hour drive of the city! And 2 right in the city. Can't compare with that! |
