Local Sororities website
 

When is the local sororities website going to be back up? :)

As soon as I finish updating it :D

I took it down so that I could work on it, but work and school seem to have gotten in the way of finishing the update.... Hopefully I'll be able to work on it and get it up over the weekend.

Its back up now, except for the state directory. That's going to be down for a while because I have to redo all of those listings by hand.... damn computers! :)

Not so well right now. Of course, since I'm unemployed as of next Friday, I'll have lots of time to work on it.

So, when is the estimated time of completion of the local sororities site? Just wondering!

I had checked it out several times lately, but I have a question. Whatever happened to the site of the month section? Are you planning on adding it or not have it again? Just wanted to know!

I took it off because I was getting frustrated with it. There just weren't enough locals with updated websites to pick one every month, and I didn't want to keep repeating the same few groups over and over.

The criteria I had been using previously was:

1. Site must have been updated within at least the previous semester.
2. All pages in the site must be functional. No "coming soon" placeholders or "page not found" messages.
3. Site must be the chapter's, not a personal site about their sorority, or a site set up by the Greek Life Office, Panhellenic, or other organization.
4. Must not have been a previous Site of the Month.

Its kind of sad that so few locals have webpages that can meet those basic criteria. Maybe someday i'll bring it back, just not right now.

It doesn't automatically update. The submissions go to my inbox, and sit there until the 1st of the month (or close to it, depending on my schedule:) ) and then I hand add them to the site at that time.
