Mazatlan?
 

Me and seven of my ASA Sisters are leaving for Mazatlan this Wednesday night! Anyone else going? Anyone been there before? What did you like? Anything we should be sure to see or do? THANKS, and have a great spring break everyone!

I went three years ago. It's a fun place! The beach is pretty, and there are quite a few clubs on the "strip". The city is devided into two parts, one is the tourist section, and the Mexican town and the harbour are further south (like an hour walk).
Where are you staying?

Tips:
-Go on one of theose boat cruises to an island for a day. Really fun, the domestic drinks shoudl be free, and you get to sea Sea Lions :-)
-Before you get in a taxi, ask them how mcuh to take you to your destination.
-If you can speak Spanish go to the real town center for an hour or so. This is more educational than for fun, but it is way different thatn the US. I had some really good ice cream there.
- The water is fine. I spent a bunch of time avoiding it, but I finally gave in and ate lettuce, drank the water, had ice, OJ, Coke from the fountian... I was totally fine. I did the same in central Mexico and had another story to tell... lol.

ps- My mom was an ASA at Northern Illinois :-) She was voted most dateable greek girl in like 1971 or something. I used to wear her letter shirt in High School. :)
