What elements must be present to have a successful party? What are the steps that you go through in the preparation of one?

If you have ever planned social events, please describe (in detail) the process you use or the elements that you include for success.

alright.
we have to have one sober party monitor, two people working the door and two people working the bar. we have one person woking the dj booth and every one else gets to have fun it rotates on a weekly basis. in prep for a party the pledges come over day before and make sure the house is decorated or set up for the theam. the theam is set up by a social appointed by the fraternity. look at theams for party ideas come up with an Idea befor you worrie about the set up!!! any one gets outa line the sober party monitor takes charge and his bros stand behind him toasted or not!!!!!!!!!
