Ex- KKK Leader David Duke Sentenced to Prison

New-Orleans--Former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke was sentenced Wednesday to more that a year in prison and fined $10,000 for bilking hs supportes and cheating on his taxes.

Duke pleaded gulity in December to tax and mail fraud; the sentence was the same one agreed to in his plea bargain.

U.S. Attorney Jim Letten said Duke must report to prison by April 15th. Federal guidelines require that he serve at least 85 percent of the 15-month sentence.

The mail fraudcharge grew out of what prosecuters described as a six- year scheme to bilk thousands of followers out of hundreds of thousands of dollars through a direct mail campaign.




As far as I'm concerned, Duke can go to HE** with a first class ticket.

God knows how many atrocities he helped fund and all they could get him on was mail fraud?:rolleyes:

All they got Al Capone on was tax evasion.

I wonder how his staunch supporters feel now? Silly I hope.
