Chapter Websites
I love to browse around school websites to check out their Greek Life. In particular, I like to look at the sorority web pages.
When it comes to looking for Sigma Kappa web pages, I often find they do not exist or they are outdated. I know there are some chapters that do have a website but do not provide a link to that website, either through their respective school, Cyber Sigma, or Nationals. In this day and age I feel that it would be most advantageous if all of our chapters created and maintained websites. Would you all agree? Do you think Nationals could/should step in? Meaning, should they make it a "must do" for chapters? Perhaps Nationals could encourage this by giving out awards in order to 1. motivate / inspire / encourage chapters to create websites 2. recognize those chapters with exceptional websites i.e. creativity, maintenance, etc. What are your thoughts? |
i know our chapter has webchairs. and we usually try to keep it up to date, though since i've been in london, i've checked our website several times and it hasn't changed since the beginning of the semester. anyway, i think that if the school doesn't provide the chapter with web space for whatever reason (penn state does) then nationals should provide the space for a chapter to have a website. i think it should be manditory for all the chapters to have a website. i know that i like browse other sigma kappa websites from time to time just to see what other chapters are up to. anyway, that's my 2p (since i'm in london it's p not cents ;))
