For our Seniors!
 

Hello Alpha Xi's, I was hoping I could get some help from yall. We want to do something special for our graduating seniors, but we don't know what to do. Anyway ideas would be great. Thanx!

My chapter always made senior shirts that had the outline of the crest on the back with all the graduating seniors names. they were presented on "senior day" where we all go to the park and have a BBQ and the seniors told funny stories about their time in the chapter.

My chapter is having the same delema. We decided to ask members of the chapter some of their HS graduation traditions. That might be a good start!

We normally put together a slide show for all of the seniors filled with pictures from different events throughout their time in AXID. In our chapter Seniors also get a Rose Buddy. It's supposed to be a person who they are really close with in the chapter and is someone they will always keep in touch with. The Rose Buddy normally gives the senior a journal or something, and of course every senior gets a pink rose.

Something joint with the local alum association is a good idea - get the alums to make them dinner! The alums like it because it gets the new graduates interested in staying involved, and hey, it's a free meal for hungry college students. ;)

For a gift, I personally like the idea of using a recognition Quill. They aren't that pricey and are something alums can wear all the time. When you're graduating, the last thing you need is yet another t-shirt. You can also give pin boxes, scrapbooks - anything AXD that the alum will cherish and find a use for post-college.
