Blocking #'s on a cell...
I made a mistake and gave this guy my cell # and I think hes just going to be annoying and keep calling me... kinda scary...
Is there a way to block an incoming call on a cell? I have a Nokia 5180i.... I dont know where my book is... eek! Help! |
Hmmm, this has happened to me too....when I used to have a Nokia.
First, call your service provider and ask if they have a number blocking system. If they don't, get caller ID and just ignore his calls when he calls. |
Did you ask him to stop calling you?
|
I did the samw thing as you, except I gave him my home nubmer! :o I was too drunk to remember my cell, but anyay. The guy called nonstop for a whole week. I swear, he called at least five tiems a day. My parents were like "give him a chance....he seems to really like you." Um, hello STALKER!!!!!! I say ignore the calls as much as you can. He'll EVENTUALLY get the hint. Best of luck.

I had a similar situation. I was in a restaurant, and this guy and I were talking while I was waiting on my order. He seemed okay, so I gave him my cell phone number. He and his friend walked me to my car, and when his friend saw that I had a stethoscope hanging on my rear view mirror, he asked if I was a nurse. I told him that I was actually in nursing school. The guy, Ron (I think that was his name), then proceeds to say "So that means you know how to take vitals signs and stuff". I said yes. So he says..."So that will come in handy when we are, you know, doing it, you will know when I am about to cum because my heartrate will increase!" NO JOKE...I said "How about you give me back my number!" He started laughing and is like "No I am gonna call you!"
Since my cell doesn't have call block (that I know of) either, I just plugged his home/cell number that he gave me under DON'T ANSWER so that would come up on the caller ID anytime he tried to call! Otherwise I don't know what else to tell you! |
I don't know if you can block numbers either, but I second the idea of just saving the number(s) he calls from and somehow identifying them to yourself, so you know not to answer.
Personally in my phone, I have (or had) numbers saved as: *Creepy Guy* *The Wrong Number Guy* (guy that would call at least once a week looking for "Jose". If he wasn't here the last 3 months, do you think he's going to be here now?) *Psycho ex* :D |
I have a NOKIA (what series, I forgot :o ) anyway, you can block callers.
Check your phone for these options: From the menu Go to Settings, then Security settings, then call restrictions, then enter you security code, then add, edit, erase restriction. How do I know, uhhh, I saw it and was interested in the feature. :o ;) :D |
dang... I have a Nokia 3390 and I don't have that option. Grr! so what happens if someone who's number is blocked tries to call you? They just get a busy signal?

Right,
I think it just rings on the caller's end. I don't think the voicemail picks up. I am able to restrict ALL incoming or ALL outgoing calls if I desire. If I did that, why have a cell phone? BTW, I think I have the 3360 series... |

It varies. You will have to call your provider for that information. Once you get the code, you can change the code if you'd like to something that you will be able to remember. That feature can also be found under the SETTINGS option.

I just got a Nokia 3390 and no, it doesn't look like you can block calls. That's crappy. Well I would just get call ID then so you can see who's calling and not answer the phone.
If you prgram this guys # into your phone book it will show up on the screen when he calls. If it's him, just don't asnwer. hopefully he'll get the message. |
I think Im gonna tell him that my gma took my phone away (shes threatened this before!) and that he cant call it anymore... lol

It's to the point and it doesn't sound lame like "my grandma took my phone away." |
