what kind of car do you have???

i am trying to cheer myself up after the last thread i posted. i got this thread idea from the alpha kappa alpha forum (those girls have the best sense of humor by the way). i thought that i should bring it over here...

what kind of car do you have? (color, make, model, year....)
what kind of condition is it in?
do you like it?

I drive a dark blue 2001 toyota celica

Considering the fact that there was 6 miles on it when I got in 2000 (back when almost nobody had that car now it is everywhere!!!!!!!) and it has over 58,400 miles on it now and I have gotten a new set of tires twice. It is still in fantastic condition besides this annoying sound that it makes occasionally. I have taken good care of the interior. It still looks brand new!
It is really good with gas too. I think it is 28/31 miles per gallon. I filled up my tank last sunday (i topped it off too) and I still have over half a tank left!:D
My car is my buddy even though it has given me 6 traffic tickets. I still love it

what about you?

I have a 1986 Plymoth Horizon, it was originally light blue but is now more just rust. It has around 150,000 miles on it now. It is still a pretty good car, but its starting to get run down. It does not like to go on the highway and then stop at the stop lights on the exit ramps. It likes to stall when its stopped after going fast. Thats the biggest complaint I have about it though. Overall I think it has been a pretty good car. Well worth the 500 dollars I payed for it.

I do not have a car, which up until recently suited me fine. But now I find its a pain in the ass, so I've started saving up to buy an old beater.

I'm a buuuuuuummmmmm! I just turned my car in due to the lease being over. ( I didn't want to buy it even though I loved it. I regret it now. long story we won't go there) But I had...

a 2000 Silver VW Beetle. It was so cute! It had a spoiler and a very cute Phi Sig sticker & I designed it my self. (gotta love those lil carts at the mall) I was spoiled with my lil beetle too. it had a sun roof, leather heated seats, and tinted windows (man I was a pimp! j/k)

But now that I am a bum, anyone want to drive me around????

I am a city girl, so I am carless. But, with gas prices being the way they are, I'm okay with that! :D Plus, walking to Whole Foods (and class, when I have the motivation) is a workout in and of itself!

I'm not happy with my car right now!!!

I have a white 1995 Cavalier with 122K miles on it. It's worth about $2000 tops. Guess how much work I put into it this past month....$3000!!!!! But I have no way to get another car, so I'm stuck. Grrrr

I have a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport. It's a dark metallic blue with a couple of UK decals, an AOII alumna decal no one can see because of the window tinting, and a Cheap Trick sticker. Makes me happy.

It's in okay condition, considering I have a family :D

I like it, I guess, but still would rather have a Honda Odyssey (really, I'd rather have a little Mercedes, but that's not Mom-practical!)

Maybe it's a California thing... my car is popular!

I drive a silver VW Beetle, too! But it's a 99, so a little different. I bought mine from a very wealthy KKG alum from UCLA (had the house on the cliffs of Santa Monica facing the Getty, etc.), and it was pretty packed when we got it. Only 17,500 miles, awesome rims, black leather interior, 6-disc changer, some really great security features, etc etc etc... I love my little baby! I get great mileage and lots of looks from cute boys... :-) Finally, a good car as compared to my first 4!!!!

i had a 2002 Honda CR-V that i absolutely loved... but i moved to a city and i don't need it because i take the t everywhere and parking's a pain in the butt, so i sold it to my parents... but i still get to drive it when i go home!

Quite happy with my 1997 Ford Thunderbird 4.6L V-8 (last year for the original production T-Bird). Other than the fact it sucks gas, it's a pretty good highway cruiser. No Alpha Sig letter decal in back (yet), but I do sport emblems denoting my Masonic affiliations (Blue Lodge, Scottish Rite, York Rite and Shriners). Back when I was living in Oklahoma, there were special Masonic license plates, but once I moved to Texas, had to get regulars - Texas does not (yet) have Masonic license plates. :(

I have a 1996 Geo Metro that broke down on me twice last summer at the worst places it possibly could. So, it's not exactly in the best condition, it has 78,000 miles on it, and my dad won't let me drive it because the brakes make funny noises. Plus the airconditioning barely works and the windows have tendency to get dislodged and fall in. It doesn't matter though, I love my car.

No, does okay for gas... 21/24 or so.. It is however a Low-Emissions Vehicle.
