How sad!

I just read a story about how 5 girls and 2 boys were charged for trying to poison their classmate. They are only in the 5ht grade! Why are kids so young thinking about murder? What is the world coming to? Are your kids safe anymore?

Kids that age are not usually well grounded in reality. They may not have had a full understanding of exactly what could have happened.

5th graders are not who they used to be...
Hmm, I remember being in 5th grade and knowing exactly what I was doing. Definately knew what killed people or made them sick. Maybe I was just an advanced 5th grader...

5th graders these days are more mature then when we were their age. They do drugs, and actually have sex. One girl at my lil sister's school is pregnant...so sad

I'm sure those kids knew that what they were doing was wrong and could possibly hurt that other girl.

I feel sorry for the girl they were trying to hurt/kill. I mean knowing other kids were trying to kill me would make me go psycho.

jus' my .02 cents

Wait a sec... a 5th grader pregnant? That is SOOOO sad! These poor children... WTF are their parents teaching them these days? The only reason I knew so much about sex back then, and not anything close to what I know now, is cuz when they split up the boys and girls and had a "sex" talk. Basically all we learned was that you have sex to get pregnant, and everything about your period.

Exactly my thoughts. I don't these kids were trying to "kill" her or anything to that extent. I remember being in elementary and kids picking on the "nerds." Nobody ever physically did anything to any of the other kids, other than throwing pieces of paper into somebody's hair. I don't know the students involved, but I would venture to say they were just trying to "pick on" the girl. Still, what they did was wrong and they should be punished, but I don't think they should spend months in a juvenile facility. But again, I don't know these kids, so I don't know if they are perpetual trouble makers.

No excuse, we knew that poisioning could kill a person in FIRST grade. They knew better. People need to realize that some children are just like some adults--psycho or just plain evil.

What are their parents teaching them? Easy. Nothing.

These kids need therapy and possibly new homes.

No they aren't. Society has just screwed them up.
