Miami LXA on MTV True Life
 

Tonight's True Life, I'm a Binge Drinker featured a UM Lambda Chi Alpha. Unfortunately, there was definitely nothing flattering about this. The trashed house and yard where he starts a fire is the Lambda Chi house.
It'll probably rerun this weekend.

What? Definitely not something to be bragging about.

Lovely to see a brother coming off so grand. If I knwo our HQ, I am sure his chapter will be getting a CLOSE look at the next consultant visit. In my org, stuff liek that will bring a close examination. HQ is VERY conservative.

That's f*cked up. BTW, is does Alpha Sig still meet at the Panhellenic building at UM? Used to hang out there back in the mid 80s back when I was in Miami.

Yes they do. A lot of the collegiate Zeta's are very close with them and some of them modeled in our annual fashion show benefit.

BTW, the Lambda Chi did not mention his affiliation. I only posted this in case anyone would wonder what fraternity he was a member of. If you like, I can request this thread to be deleted or just delete my post.

The guy who had plastic surgery on his calves on True Life was a Lambda Chi, too.

I don't know if any one character on TV ever annoyed me more than he did. I could even tolerate the plastic surgery girls more than him.

I can't believe they even had this show...everyone knows the term "binge drinking" is SO 1997. Seriously, it's been shown that using that term actually increases people's drinking and it needs to go on the vocabulary garbage heap.

Oh god, how do you know that and PLEASE tell me you are making that up. PLEASE. I do so hate it when I really cant stand soemone, then find out they are my brother. UGH.

Haha . . . I think the worst part was when they went from some really dramatic "and for you watching at home, the moral of the story is" part with the DUI girl, straight into one of their MTV Mardi Gras commercials. Make up your mind, MTV! You'd think they could hold off on the Mardi Gras commercials for, like, an hour.

I watched it, and after he said in the beginning that he lived in that fraternity house, I watched closely for letters...

The didnt show affiliation. All of the words on the composite and paddles were blurred out.

It was really sad when he was at the bar, and his bros started pressuring him to drink-eventhtough he said he was sick and couldnt drink.

The plastic surgery guy was wearing a t-shirt with his letters on it in the follow-up story on him. I actually think the follow-up story made him out to be a better person than the original... maybe that's why he decided to wear his letters?

Tell me about it! That's exactly how I felt when i found out that Sarah from Joe Millionaire is an Alpha Phi...
