Samuel L. Jackson - coolest guy ever?
 

My friend and I got into this huge lovefest the other day about how great Samuel L. Jackson is. Basically my friend said she'd see any movie if he was in it, because it was guaranteed that at least his scenes would be good.

Whats the Greek Chat consensus? Is he the world's biggest badass? Personally I'm looking forward to checking him out in Basic but that movie looks cool all around. Plus Taye Diggs is in it... yum!

Have to agree that the man has been in some fantastic movies.

Morgan Freeman is another one who has been awesome in some really good movies.

Brad Pitt of late has also turned out some great movies.

Gotta agree...I think Samuel L. Jackson is pretty cool.

I think he's cool but it always seems like he's playing the same person. Yeah they're in different circumstances, but they always have the same mannerisms/attitudes.

I can see what you're saying to a certain degree. There is always some element of Badass Jackson in what he does. But I think he really does have some strong range. Did you see him in Eve's Bayou? That was very understated.

And I think he'll be playing a very different kind of character in Basic. I dunno - it sounds like there is so much mystery and conspiracy in the film I bet Jackson's character will be a very haunted man. We'll see...
