It didn't occur to me to post this until ZZ-Kai- posted about greekconcepts.com BUT here goes:

I ordered a coat from ConnectSports.com. It was a baseball style quilt lined coat. It was nice and simple, white body with red trim, Alpha Sigma Alpha/Beta Kappa on left front, and Alpha Sigs on the back. It was around $80 which is about what I expected...

So...about a week later(about the date they promised it shipped) I get a call and they don't have the white with red trim coat, could I take just a white...sure, why not? And they said they would get right on it and ship it in a week. (Little did I know that they charged my credit card for BOTH coats)

So...about 4 MONTHS later it finally arrived. I pulled it out of the box and it was a thin flannel lined jacket NOT a baseball style quilted coat. The jacket itself was dirty and had grease stains on it. They got the ASA/BK on the front right although somehow all the stiching was already starting to fall out and there was little bits of BLACK??? thread...and the cut out Alpha Sigs on the back looked like a 3rd grader cut it out and the stiches to hold it on were random and very noticable (if they would have been even they would not have been noticable)....

I have filed all of the BBB paperwork and sent the jacket back....
I gotten lots of excuses as to why the jacket was crap but I've never gotten $$ back...he was saying that he only charged my card once and that he could only give me 25% back because it was a custom order...

STAY AWAY FROM CONNECTSPORTS.COM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yet another BAD company
 

After greekconcepts took over $1800 from us we went to connectsports to get our jackets and shirts made. They promised they would have it on time, but only the jackets came on time. When we opened up the box to see the jackets, they were HOT PINK and black. Our colors are PEACH and black (there's a big difference). The front was peach and the back was pink. When we called they told us they ran out of material so they just used pink. They refused to give us any type of discount. When the shirts finally came, they were awful. The numbers on the black had holes in it and the words looked like a kid cut them out. When we called them to do the shirts over, they said just send them back and they would do it again. But the package got sent back to me in the mail because they refused to go get it from the post office. When I called them to ask why they didn't get the package, they said they were going out of business! :rolleyes:
A couple of weeks later, we saw our jackets featured on their website! :eek: We tried to get them to take the jackets down, but they refused.

Be careful with the on-line greek stores you buy from...

Lordy, at this point I'm going to say unless you have recommendations from people you trust, DON'T ORDER GREEK STUFF ONLINE!!!

Support your local businesses - it helps out the community and makes the townspeople look much more favorably on you than if you take everything out of the area. If you don't have such a business in town, let it be known you would support one.

This is awful! It makes me so angry that there are companies out there that apparently prey on college kids and take advantage of them.

zchi2 and AlphaFrog, did you pay for these items on your credit card? If so, you have recourse against the company that sold you this junk. Notify your credit card company and they will put pressure on the company to refund your money. They have a lot more weight behind them than an individual person has and this crooked company might be more apt to listen to them.
