Letterman or Leno?
For those who either or:
I've had this discussion several times, and I wanted to know your guys' opinion. I'm sorry, though I'm a west coast guy, Jay Leno is not funny. His monolouge isn't funny, his skits aren't funny, and his interviewing skills are subpar. Throughout his monolouge all he gets is sympathy applause and no laughs. The only thing I'll watch is headlines, which isn't technically HIS own work. Dave, on the other hand, is very witty and smart yet can appeal to a younger/immature audience. He can turn a bad situation into a funny one. His interviewing skills are great, he actually at least acts like he's interested in what they're saying. Dave should have gotten the Tonight Show. So, Letterman or Leno? |
Letterman, by far.
Leno just bores me and his chin distracts me. It's not like I usually can stay up for either, though, because I have to get up at 6 AM. :) |
Can't stand either.
|
yeah there is nothing like Letterman's Top Ten - too funny
so yeah its Dave for me :) |
Letterman all the way!!!! (Could that have something to do with the fact that I'm in Letterman-Land (Ball State U)???) LOL
|
Both Suck!
Show I loved was Politically Correct with Bill M! Got booted but is coming back on I think HBO! Thank god for reruns of MASH, 3 rd Rock, Seinfeld (Yea Kramer)!!!!! |

I have been a David Letterman fan since NBC. :D  :) Poor guy has singles. :( Get well soon, Dave.
edited to add: I mean he has SHINGLES! My sister had it and it was awful. :( |
Wow! I am in the minority here. I can't stand Letterman. He just gets on my nerves. I don't like Paul his band leader either.
As for Jay, I like his show and his jokes. He has some great guests!!! I am glad that he took over for Johnny Carson. BUT NO ONE CAN EVER REPLACE JOHNNY!!!! |

I think they meant "shingles"
"Shingles (Herpes Zoster) What Happens Pain usually occurs 1 to 3 days before the bandlike rash (or rashes) appears on one side of the body.1 The rash develops over a period of 1 to 2 days and resembles a band or belt across a section of the body, typically on one side only. Blisters ooze and crust over after 5 days and heal completely within 2 to 4 weeks. After the rash heals, ongoing pain (postherpetic neuralgia, or PHN) may persist in the areas where the rash occurred. Mild skin scarring may occur in some people. Most healthy people recover from shingles without any long-term complications. Having an attack of shingles does not protect a person from having another attack of shingles in the future. However, most people who get shingles once typically do not get it again. Complications of shingles Shingles is a relatively short-term disease (usually lasts a few weeks). Most healthy people recover from shingles without any long-term complications. However, when complications do develop, they can be severe and long-lasting" yeah nasty stuff :( |
Letterman rules the universe. Leno was funny as a stand up, before he sold his soul to get the Tonight Show. Now he's just lame - his funniest thing is reading headlines out of the paper.
