CIAA stepshow in Raleigh
I just wanted to let everyone know about what went on this weekend, if you weren't able to attend:
Sororities: Winner: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. 1st runner up: Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. 2nd runner up: Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Fraternities: Winner: Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. 1st runner up: Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. 2nd runner up: Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. The Sigmas also did very well. AND there was also a performance by Swing Phi Swing  that was a surprise. I don't think the audience knew how to take that, alot of them looked confused. I was just shocked to see one, I had never heard of them till this year. Oh yeah, WHY where we in there from 6:30 till almost 1 in the morning????? ANYWAY,:p I just thought that some of you might like to know what went down. Lata:D |

i don't know what was goinz on....
OK, the doors opened at 6 but the step show didn't start till 8. We heard that the whole thing had sold out so we got the idea that we would go there at like 6:30 or closer to 7 to get good seats. We got there and the parking lot and near by streets were almost full. We get in there food is ri-dayum-diculous. I didnt get anything but my home girl got some orange juice for a dollar, but the water was $2-3??? ANYWAY...it didn't start till bout 8:15 and when it did start it was a warm up church step team. It finally started each team was given 15 minutes to perform, and it took each of them a few minutes to step up the stage and then to take it down afterwards. Then the host, Chocolat (from Comic view), would come out and make jokes about the organizations from time to time. All of the female groups were there. Swing Phi Swing was intermission entertainment. Then the guys were there, there were AphiA, Kappa's,Que's, and Sigma's. After they went, they had a dance troupe from JCSU to come and do something while the judges did there thing. THEN they want to give something to the sponsors, and they finally announced the winners after all that. THEN it took a good 10 min. to get out of there......

Me and my friends went a couple of years ago. We were complaining about the tickets ($12) and prices then. I can't imagine paying $20 or more for a stepshow.
