Feel free to list the things that just don't make sense to you in your daily life here:

For me:

It's cold in Nebraska, often for weeks at a time it will stay below freezing, but why is it as soon as it reaches 40 there will always be two or three people walking around in shorts??? I'm there in a sweater and my heavy coat and theyre walking around in shorts!!! What are they trying to proove? Who are they trying to impress? It was cool in 3rd grade to wear shorts as soon as possible, but come on...

What's the deal with Angle parking...I hate it. I always end up going the wrong way down the aisle, and people seem to have a greater difficulty parking with in the lines than compared to normal parking, so why have it.

Why do we get worked up over extra charges on things like food when they are like a quarter more? Was at a cheese steak place today and the guy in front of me went off when charged for extra mushrooms, cheese and onions on his sandwhich...for only $.70 more. I'm as poor as the next person right now, with less than $150 to my name, so I have to wonder about the extra . 70 b/c it didn't bother me...

How a product can be BOTH "New" and "Improved" at the same time?

Why are there kids panhandling on the street for "bus fare home" when they are wearing $200 Doc Martens on their feet?

1. When I see women wearing bright blue eye shadow with bright neon pink lipstick. Seriously, do they think they look good? Hmmm, maybe.

2. Why people have to be sore losers....I'm sorry we won Greek Show...can you stop bitchin' and let us enjoy the fact that we beat you?

3. Why the most handsome men end up with the most hideous lokking women.....and then they come to my place of work to flaunt it in my face.

4. Why OH WHY did the Bachelorette have to go and pick MY MAN Ryan? as Ivory sobs...

5. Why do people have mullets? Don't they know they are comitting a hairdo sin?

Those people are probably SOUTHERN California transplants. Norcal people even wonder why socal people do that.

Maybe not something to ponder but something I don't understand....

The express lanes on the highway (Edens to Kennedy, whatever)
Sometimes they go one direction, sometimes they go the other. At some point they have to close off the lane. How in the hell do they do that on the freeway when people are going 70? It's not like you can slow down and merge into the other lane as this little arm is slowly blocking off your lane.....

The ice strom that we had last week, not only did my company remain open, they sent out a memo saying that near by hotels were offering discounts. That was so generous of my company:rolleyes:

Everytime we have a shift bid, people tell the scheduling people possible conflicts( babysitting issues, school, military commitment) and the scheduling people still give these people bad shifts that totally disreguards that person situation.

How the scheduling people can have my first break at 9:55 and then my lunch at 10:30. Or how I come in at 10:15 take my first break at 11:15 then my lunch is at 3:rolleyes:

in reference to winter hell 2003 this past week in Dallas -

why after warnings of "if you venture out you are putting your life at risk" did people still go to blockbuster?

why did people call 911 for a toothache?

why did they bitch to the firefighters that they were late when the guys just spent 6 hours hauling, digging, pulling a 2 ton fire engine out of the mud/ice/slush (yes that happened) ?

Why did we have complete coverage from Dallas, Plano, Ft Worth and Denton? was the ice different in these different areas?

ahhh it ices in Dallas and everyone thinks the world is coming to an end...

AHHHHH Texass!

My Brother moved to Houstien and they had 1/4 of snow! Hell, closed the whole town down! He drove the Loop uninpeeded and got to see what the Town looked like! He is From Missouri!

Hell, SNOW sucks in Ks. and Mo. too! If I can get out of driveway to the street, I can open my shop!:D


I love people who come in to my Smoke Shop and ask me :Do you have zippo lighters, da, they just walked by a rotating display case! Do you have fliud. I want a pack of (?) smokes, Da right behind you!

I did not know you sold Cigarettes, I thought it was just cigars and tobacco! Just what the hell is cigarettes made from!

People who want to use me as a bank, pawn shop, tourist beareau, rest stop for bathing facilities, Oh I did not know you were here, how long Da 6 years,or just about anything else!

Stupid is running rampant! More and more by the second. Thank god for 2 things, a customer who is my now private shrink and the people of GC!:cool:

Revellie the lovely mascot collie of A&M was dog napped by some UT students back in '95? I think....I dunno it was sometime after junior high for me and before my junior year in high school....I just remember an annoucement on our loudspeaker at school..

after they realized the dog was missing they sent out an alert in the entire Brazos valley and surrounding areas of the suspect van and all kinds of information. They even had a guy reporting live from the scene of the snatching. This story pre-empted nightly news shows about world events - I'm serious.

A&M slaughters their cow BEVO and they take the dog - only in Texas!

The guy that left his infant in an unlocked car in the middle of winter in the KFC parking lot.....I almost tore my eyes out!!! Would love to find his wife and tell her that one!!
